NATURE IS EVERYTHING

Heres some random ideas,

If everything is natural, then nothing is unnatural. And if nothing lies outside of our universe, then everything outside of the universe is unnatural.

Nature, in his definition, is not relative, taking a dump is just as natural as committing suicide. Darwin said that the goal of every species is to pass on their genes. If that's true then committing suicide isn't natural because you are going against what nature wants you to do.

I think the reason you're friend believes that violence is natural is so that he doesn't have to reflect upon humanities poor decisions. I think he's being ignorant.

you can't talk about properties of things in existence without describing the nature of what is existing. There isn't a way of describing that without using the word nature because when we get down to a certain point the question of WHY isn't able to be answered by science at least at this point in time. Why do particles with mass exert gravitational force? we don't have an answer. We can only describe the relationship between mass, distance and gravitational force. The same goes for all 4 fundamental forces.

i actually agree that nature is everything. however, you cannot simplify things on terms of controller and the controlled. certain things mutually depend on each other for existence, but neither one preemptively caused the other.
