Natioanls in tahoe...Sponsers?

i went there for youth women it was kick

i got 3rd in slope

and 4rth in pipe but i fell also

and i got 2nd overall

soo

what brand is a good sponser?

i think im gonna see if k2 will sponser

second you dont get shit from doing good in usasa nationals its not even a skiing orginization

i ski every single day

so i should get some good fotage
 
i agree with tahoerider that video IS NECESSARY and one comp doesnt mean that much unless they were their and actually saw you and the competition. some advice- make a video and send it to a bunch of sponsors, then look at your options.

nice keeep it up, also talk to shop owners who know big companies reps or sometimes shop owners are reps for certain companies and they will tell you where to send your vid.
 
I'm not hating. Props for placing well in that--I'm stoked for you. But I'm sick of all the "So like, I can do this and this and I placed this in this comp and OMG should I get sponcered!?" bullshit on this site. I mean, why do you ski?

If you are a chick and you can throw down, there is sooo much opportunity for you to get sponsored and get exposure. Especially if you are young and dedicated and are placing in comps.

this is actually my first year of freestyle skiing and i hope to be alot better in the future
 
nationals is not a tough comp, especially for girls; i mean how many girls were there 5? its good entry level comp though congrats on your placings
 
Yeah I agree with the guy who said Nationals isn't that big of a comp, I was there, and I do it for fun, USASA isn't a huge contest that sponsers are going to be amazed by. I'm stoked to see you out there though, but I heard that the girl who got first couldn't even finish a box...so you probably need footy to proove youre worthy.

my best advice is meet with a rep rather than just sending a resume or video to the company itself. When you get in contact with a rep it becomes way easier
 
I'm sorry but girls competitions, especially here in tahoe, are a complete joke. I remember seeing one at Sierra where there were about 6 girls entered into a slopestyle. They went through the whole run doing straight airs off the small booters and the girl who got 1st won because she did a 180 to opposite pizza faceplant on the last jump. Four of the girls DODGED the jumps. The girl who got 2nd hit a straight air on one jump and ate shit but they gave her 2nd because the other girls didn't hit shit. I don't know how that can even be called a slopestyle competition when they didn't hit one jump or rail and come up with 3rd or 4th. I'm tired of seeing girls think they can get sponsored after landing 180s.
 
well goodluck and hopefully you get sponsored. I got third in mens slope last year - wish i could of gotten me some sponsors but like mrb said its not the that huge of a comp

learn how to ski park first, i have seen you ride and straight aring jumps wont get you shit, i have been sending out my video for two years and have gotten shut down. im not trying to be a bitch or anything but you get first at tamarack comps because your the only girl and i really dont know what you will put on a video thats going to impress anyone, your pretty young so i say wait awhile but there are girls your age who could kick your ass so get some good tricks down before you go out and promote yourself... and also get a new attitude you cant go around acting like your the greatest skier in the world.

but i whatched all of the events and i think i must of saw your run but if i dont remember it it must not of been good

to only girl i saw compete that deservs sponsorship is that dre girl that owned your ass ......but do you see her doing posts like this???? nope
 
...are you retarded...first of all, all sponsor come to you. they will find you at the top events such as the US Open, VT Open..etc. Results get you sponsored. videos do not tell you anything....i would not reccomend knocking on sponsors doors untill you get a result a lot more substantial...USASA is the lower end of the scale.
 
i would think if you were placed 2nd nationally, the sponsors would be coming to you...and if you dont know enough about skiing to be able to pick your own fucking company, what the hell have you been skiing on? blizzard?
 
how many girls were even in the comp? usually with usasa there arnt that many skiers and its not that hard to place
 
Dre is so dope, she's already sponsered, and exactly, she doesn't come on newschoolers saying "oh my god! i won nationals! sponsors are gonna want me cause I'm a girl!". Dre kills it, and has a better attitude than you.
