Nashoba Valley Terrain Parks

Hey NS's,

I figured I would make a permanent NV thread on here and phase out other years. So from here on out just post everything Nashoba here. To kick things off here is an edit from team skier Colin Sirois filmed last winter.

Colin's season edit from the winter of 2012-2013.

Filmed by Steve Marshall and Alex Cole, Edited by Steve Marshall

Boom. The

dfd donkey is finally coming together over this weekend. We are going

green with this massive momma using 100% recycled materials for this

project. We are also building a 2' flat to 12' down attachment to enable us to make a quad kink. With a 15 degree kink, this girl will be one tough ride, but it is a handrail so deal with it.

rumors of 50 features at nashoba... hhmmmm... might consider going south to ski for the first time of my life

sorry for this weird embedding but wow, nashobas stepping it up big time

threads i have only ever been really early season when you barely had a park and i was on rentals (i live in vancouver my dad lives in boston) i will probably come out more this year though

Going to try to make it over as much as possible this year, a lot of school nights if I can.

I don't mean to bitch too much, as I do love Nashoba...but I am going to college in Boston this year and the pricing for passes at Nashoba is beyond steep.

Consider the New England Pass for college students, 350 for Loon SR and Sugarloaf - any day. Its a much better deal (for generally better skiing) than a $ 200 weekday only pass to Nashoba, even if it means a lot of driving. Consider how many college students really are able to ski any time but the weekend? Not too many. I know the Nashoba employees on here have no power over this, but I just figured I would add my 2 cents and it may somehow trickle upwards through the hierarchy. New stuff looks sick by the way!

Hey es94, I hear you. Money is always tight for everyone these days and hopefully in the future we will be able to work something out to make shredding our parks a little more affordable. We have been making strides with management so far with less black-out times for our college pass. It's tough competition out there for smaller hills with so many mountains teaming up for different passes.

We will continue to bust our asses to bring you the best parks we can. I just want to throw in there that we change our parks up more than ANY other mountain in the East. We have a 24 hour park crew that builds new shit all week to compensate for our lack of size.

Here are some new rails:

Sullivan and Keith from our Park Crew have been hard at work for weeks now, preparing for one hell of an epic season. This gives you a little visual and insight into the work and the features that you will be seeing throughout our parks this winter!

Nashoba has absolutely killed it this year. Just the list of new features alone is insane

686 Feature

Quad kink (that can also be a double kink and down rail)

Flat-down

12' Up rail

Down rail w/ donkey

3 Tubes

Tank jib

Am I missing anything?

Yes, currently building a intermediate waterfall rail.

Then we are moving on to portable stairs 4'x8' sections to be combined with either longer or shorter rails (X3)

48' Down rail.

And probably a few other things...

could be sometime this week... we keep draining our water supply for snowmaking! A FULL JUMP LINE WITH THREE JUMPS. 30' Step down, 45' Table, 30' Step up, all heading your way soon.

Would it be possible to make a 25 foot table than a 30 ft step down? because i think most people would rather hit a table than a step down

wachusett local checking in, lets try to be chill between the two mountains this year hahaha, but the latest edit from you guys was fire. hoping to make it over to check out the park sometime this season

i will be seeing you there tomorrow crew heavy. stoked to see what you guys have set up

I'd assume they'll have it. I was there recently and they have pushed out the jumps for everything and they were at their normal sizes. The jumps themselves are probably getting reshaped?

by the way, any chance you can put in the small handrails again that were new this year? they were fun aka the stair and rail setup you had on skiers right

I'm thinking of going to Tell a friend tour next week, anyone know any good ways of avoiding full ticket price? From what I know the lifties are pretty good at checking passes so I probably won't be able to sneak in.
