Nashoba Valley 2012/2013

why would you do that. with all that material you could make 8 boxes and a flat rail. i would rather have 9 features than one

true true true, what other features could you make? I like mailbox features. If you could make some of those or a tube feature maybe, you don't really have tubes if I can remember.

I'm so stoked for the upcoming season! I'm planning on filming a lot at Nashoba next year, similar to this year, but more. The features are looking great!

I will be filming at all the Freeride series and most other competitions so you guys can PM me if you want some shots. I also will post edits here, so get stoked! So much talent at such a small mountain, get hyped for the season!

We will MAKE you remember this season. New features are coming for a third year in a row. Signature urban venues and new SILVER LINE handrails. 4+ weekly night builds throughout the season will always be our pledge, and you will be left scratching your heads every time you come here and have a different park. It may be mid August, but our eye is dead set on our goals for this fall and winter. Say hello to the new Nashoba Valley.

I have been looking at different features for you guys to make for a while now. The most fun park for jibs I have seen and rode is at Brighton. If you could make any jibs like Brighton does, ie low pop on rails, mailboxes, tubes, roundrails, butter boxes, and stairs.

For example this edit:

/images/flash_video_placeholder.pngIf you put some of these kinds of rails in that new park area, (assuming you are doing that) It would be really sick. You could also put some mini jibs near the top of the park to the side of the slopestyle course. Or the easier ones in the mini park area.

Just a suggestion.

PS I am beyond stoked for this season and am planning on buying a pass. You guys are the best!

At the top of this thread we had a sketchup model. This is the up flat section of the picture. All this baby needs is plexi glass and paint. The close out piece will be completely separate, that will be added in during snow construction. The next step will be both wallride sections, AKA a $h!T ton of plywood and plexi!

Haha sorry... wrong code. Anyways here is a video of the contest last year. Again, lets us know what you would like the setup to be this winter.

This will have three more panels added on each side and will be a banked retaining wall as pictured in the sketch-up model at the top of this thread.

The "Electrical Transformer Box" is just awaiting its stickers to warn you about shock hazards... remember kids, safety first!

The season is quickly approaching and we are rushing as much in and out of the shop as possible before the cold air hits this week ;-) Opening day is only days away!

Not

quite sure what kind of snow we will have so the setup is still up in

the air, but the new 6" wide round bar at 21' long will be put in for

sure. Anything you want to see that you haven't hit this year?

Well guys and Gals,

Sorry we couldn't keep anything open this week. Obviously the weather down here in Mass isn't quite up to par. Not that I am complaining about the weather, merely just saying... it is what it is. Last time we had this warm of a December, we lucked out with a ton of snow in the following months. At least this year it didn't snow 3 feet in October!

This is not a meteorology lesson, more or less saying that we are praying for cold to make some snow. Historically speaking it's still fall until December 21st. When we tested our system Friday night the temp only got down to 29.6. Anyone who has ever made snow will know that with a bunch of humidity that's just not going to do it. But it did give us a killer weekend and the Snowmakers did a killer job. The skiers where killing it all day long, and we even extended our hours both days. It has basically melted and we are back to work in the shop. More updates will follow. For now here are some pictures from the weekend with 5 jibs.

anyone know what the deal is? whats up right now? I saw some of the stuff from the tell a friend tour and it looks sick.

also, I don't know if this is the place to put this and I know its not nashobaparks fault, but the college season pass is whack. I get the higher ed pass for mt snow for $120 more, and if i wanted a college pass for the area I would get the Wachusett pass where i could ride weekdays and weekend nights for the same price.

they got a sick set up right now.

same set up as during the tour, but they'll prolly change it up soon.

it's option of down box or down donkey flat bar

then into this sick feature.

here's a pic:

It's a box into tranny on either the right or at the end. there's a mini-corruagted tube you can hop to the side onto. Then there's a close out round rail on the right which you can ollie and stall on/go over and a DFD round rail that is looking fresh right now.

Then lastly you have a round rail going horizontal. It can be used as a stall a rail or a jump.

here's a little pic of me on that:

you would be crazy not to go to nashoba.. 3 jump line (25-30ish step down, 40ish step over, and a huge step up), 2 urban down rails, massive bonk jib, wall ride.. plus they still have the hike/mini park set up with a down rail, flat down box, and the closeout-dfd

First day at Nashoba in quite some time and must say i was happy with what was there. 3 jump line was a blast.
