who's better?

i'm gonna say AZ, he's been keepin it dope every album, never got commercialized, never cut ne1 off from the Firm like Nas did, and he doesn't spit about all the God stuff like Nas does, and he doesn't bash on white ppl like Nas does, and i think he has a better flow
 
AZ has had consistantly good albums. Nas is less consistant but when he's good he's better than AZ.
 
I don't think AZ comes even close to Nas. Sure Nas's last few albums are weak, but if Nas only made Illmatic and than quit the rap game he would still be better than AZ. That album is gold. I don't think AZ has one album that is consistently really good all the way through. Not saying AZ is bad he just isn't at Nas's level, i might even go as far to say that Cormega is better than AZ.. maybe.

but AZ has produced sick albums consistently with barely any credit shown, while nas can put out ne song and get it on mtv and get noticed for it, which makes it a lot harder on AZ for recognition, and without recognition, its very tough to be an artist. AZ is working against the odds, Nas with the odds, AZ has been in tough situations financially in his career, and he still doesn't complain even half as much as nas does

are you serious? nas dogshits on AZ

he only had to do illmatic and it was written to own AZ's entire discog, but the lost tapes, stillmatic, and i am are all great albums also. i know you'd say he's fell off and that he isn't as consistent and i'd agree, but dude is a fucking legend, dropping some of the most mindblowing verses of all time. i can only name one AZ verse that i'd consider par to nas' level and it was on his nas' joint!

if you still have doubts, check his verse on verbal intercourse on raekwon's first lp. absolutely ridiculous.
 
i thought the same until i saw both at the same concert and AZ was sick live and Nas just kinda looked not there

could ahve been a bad day for Nas

but i love nas and az both so i don't look at them to see who's better cuz i don't really care....one of my fav . mixtapes of all time tho is az awol redid by justice hole album is dope
