opposition to war doesnt make peace....

i dont agree with the war completely, because i dont think that we are just doing it to get rid of saddam..and more for oil. so far it has been going ok, but just because we bring democracy to Iraq, that doesnt mean it will be better...ie Russia....Russia got a lot worse economically after communism fell..

but i still think we need to support our troops all the way. we can't have what happened after vietnam where soldiers were getting spit on when they got back to the US

America did not BRING SADDAM TO POWER, they were one of many countrys supplying weapons to him in the Iran Iraq war of the 80's. However, we supplied very few weapons compared to France (who still DOES supply weapons as evidanced by the Mirage fighter planes Iraq has) and Germany... consequently two nations who are staying out. They helped make him powerful yet they refuse to help take him down when they are even more responsible...

The reason why they are supplying saddam with weaponry, is because they trade it for oil. I know france is one of the biggest customers for iraqi oil. And yes, reagan, did supply iraq with arms, helped train the republican guard(back then), and gave saddam sole dictatorship of iraq, because back then, we were allies, with saddam against iran. Now these things i now know for a fact, i did a research paper on middle eastern conflicts.
