"unwanted carbon buildup in the valves car!"

seriously go buy a can of bg44k valve cleaner and run that through your gas tank

valve cleaners dont ever really work. its not because any of them really suck or anything, but you need a really high pressure of shit moving through there to break free super dug in deposits and shit, and your cars fuels system just cant provide that. you gotta take it to a place that does that so they can attach them to a machine and blow alot of harsh chemicals through them really fast.

i mean, its not like an off the shelf valve cleaner wont make a difference but it probably wont be enough to notice.

but shit, i could be wrong.

off the shelf valve cleaners dont work true- bg44k is some nasty shit that you cant really get except for specialty shops- like 23 dollars for a can- theres a bunch of actual data to show flow rates before and after bg44k at least on an s4- theres another company called hydradyne that makes a similar product but I cant find that anywhere

anything else you would recommend for maintenance on that engine? i have a 2004 a4 1.8t so its the same motor. i think i will go ahead and order a can of that stuff. how often would you run that cleaner through there?

you can get it at the audi dealer- or find someone that sells it local- but I did mine in my s4 twice a year- you get like 8 gallons in your tank and dump a full can in- then it just goes through- no issues with the motor- in my evo I ran it though every 3 months but thats because I had a shitload more power and I didnt want any issues

it comes in a soup style can with a tab- pop it open- get your funnel and pour away

awesome man, thanks for the tip. some people on audizine were talking about that stuff too, just picked some up! so you just run like half a tank with it then?
