Name change progression in profiles

Why don't these follow a chronological order. Every once in a while I'll check a person's profile to see who they used to be and I just get confused. Here's an example

Previous user names:

October 3rd 2007

haulingasspen2 changed to bathrobesteeze

May 5th 2008

WhyAmI_NotSkiing changed to BEARS.

December 28th 2007

bathrobesteeze changed to WhyAmI_NotSkiing

August 23rd 2007

daddydouchebag changed to haulingasspen2

July 17th 2007

Account created.

I didn't change the order at all, thats what they have in this person's profile. What's the logic with this ordering?

Yeah, I noticed that a long time ago, but I didn't do anything about it. Its also strange because I haven't even thought about it till now...hmmm....(thinking)

Yeah well thats for good reason. I still think name changes should only be available upon a certain milestone or request.
