anyone been there this year yet, on the site it says the park is up, and i am going on tuesday so anyone know what they have up for jumps and rails and shit

I heard their rail park is okay, not huge though. On Saturday though, apparently there was knee deep powder, at Nakiska! Who would have thought...

all i know about what they had last years park, was that they had 3 or 4 large tables in a row. and one was even called chaos..........

do the chickens have large talons?
 
They had 4 step downs and a step up ranging from 30-70 feet. Amazing flow, best park around for jumps period. Chaos was a BIG step down and the step up was my favorite jump of the season anywhere in Alberta.

^fucken rights! the step up was the shit, so big and so smooth u didnt even have to absorb when u landed, last year they had their park set up like this: 25 foot table, 45 foot table 65 foot table (chaos) then the huge step up and then another table about 40 ish feet such a sick park, amazing for filming and the best flow anywhere!

Chaos was even bigger at the beginning of the year. They cut it down because of injuries after about 2 weeks.

ya the flow was sick, you could hit all 5 jumps one after the other without speed problems, it was so good i just hope they do something similar this year

They will, its just the perfect place for a park. thats what Louise needs to do, take a whole run like that and use it for a park instead of a tiny fraction of one at the bottom.

Yeh the park is goin to be quite similar this year. large tables and equal amount of flow. They wont have the superpipe this year but it wasnt exactly the best anyways. Dont know about the rail sit but hopefully it improves.

 
in the mini park they had some tiny rails and nothing really great, but then outa no where is rail that its a duc c )( but right next to each other, so u could c rail in both directions, or transfer over like an s rail

I was there on Saturday, I found the C rail to be pretty sharp turn. It took me a few times to get, then I decided to do the C in the other direction and landed knees on rail. That was the end of the day. If I can figure how to upload pictures into forums, I have a a shot of Nakiska's C rails, and the small flat rail and down rail.

 
I'm headed up there in January. The park sounds sick, but how is the rest of the mountain for skiing?

i skied nakiska yesterday. other than being super cold it wasn't too bad. the small park was open with a couple rails and boxes and 2 small tables, like 15 feet. the big park wasn't open yet, but during the time that I was skiing they made 4 giant tables. one was at least 60 feet, all the rest were like 40. looks like it will be open very soon, and will be insane.

same place as last year, but i'm not sure about the setup. from the chair it looked like 2 pretty big tables, 1 bigger one, 1 huge one, and there were at least 2 more giant piles of snow that are gonna be made into something. so at least 6 big jumps. also no pipe this year.

the park is now open and it is large and incharge. chaos is 60 feet and the kicker is 10 ft high. they have a sick feature that is also in the new mack dawg vid. its like a step up step down combo. and the other tables are large as well. the last jump is a step down.

 
its a snow box, u hit a jump to get onto the snowbox, which is like 12 feet high, 15 wide and 30-40 long and then there is a drop off at the end, there are some mad combos to be thrown on that thing!
