Need to be a part of ABFreestyle, and thus, need to have qualified for inverts. I'm guessing that they may not really have that good of tabs on all 'qualified' individuals anyway, so flip away.

FIS insures all of the events in alberta...its the easiest insurance to get..all of the RCR big airs ive been to have had something to do with AB Freestyle....im pretty sure they dont care if u invert....corks and falts arent considered inverts in freestyle anyway...i jsut hope no one does, or wants to do front flips haha

I think when Orage did the big airs two and three years ago, you didnt have to be a member. Can't remember for sure though.

And they probably won't care if you do, but on the event page it does say- *need to be qualified for inverts. Or something like that.

I think there is too many people now to regulate this stuff, but I remember back in the day, like 5 yrs ago. Anything that wasnt a straight spin was considered an invert, and thus, was not allowed by a non abfreestyle member that hadnt 'qualified' their jumps yet.

Ya just to let everyone know i was just at the forum youngbloodz slopstyle at nakiska and it was in their beginer park with like 2 gay rails and a 25 foot table so i wouldnt be that suprised if thats where their other slopstyle is

slopestyle at the lake last year wasn't on the pro-size hits so i wouldn't be surprised if it was on the smaller tables

ok, thanks for the tip.. just so everyone knows it is probly gonna be cancelled so dont get too excited about it. i just e-mailed rcr. ill let you all know when i get the news that it is post-poned.

I dont know if this has been explained but, What is an Alberta Freestyle Skiing Membership, and what happens if I dont have have one but I want to ride in the contest?

ya its just a small charge, like 10-20 bucks or w/e, and i was talking to one of the head guys at nakiska and he said uu can register on the net or at the hill on saturday the 12, there should be a booth of some kind for all entrants in the main day lodge, but i am kinda disapointed cause the weather doesnt look like it will be super amazing, but o well, should be fun anyways, and it is on saturday the 12th!

NOT CANCELLED repeat, NOT CANCELLED, i just got off teh phone with jen dyrkstra at rcr who is organizing the event, and she said that it was temporaraly cancelled due to not having the insurance from smith optics, but now they hav it and its back on, same everything, march 12, the saturday. head to head format!
