Naders back!

i wonder if the DNC is gonna hit him with a bunch of lawsuits to keep him out again... but he has declared another run at the white house today i guess.

Yeah. He is a nice guy, but sort of a dick. This election he just needs to sit the fuck out.

It sucks because, while he views are generally pretty good, all he will do here is take votes from a very important election and make them meaningless. It is no time to try and push for a 3rd party, which would be good for our country, but just isn't going to happen now.

It just comes off as arrogant to run when he knows what another 4 years of republican control will do here. At least it is MaCain who is reasonable sane.....but still it would be a shittier 4 years than with either Obama or Clinton.

Nader can suck my white cock. all the dumbshit people that think they're so cool voting for him in "protest" are successfully throwing their voice in the trash. idiots

That fucker better die. Honestly our country is gonna be fucked if he takes votes again from the democrats

which is why I hope that ron paul goes against his initial word and runs as an independent and takes away republican votes and it will even out

I read an article in Newsmax or Newsweek don't remember which one that said he was dropping out after the texas primary and that he might run as an independent after that

Ralph Nader is a great man who cares more about his fellow citizens than you or any Democratic presidential candidate ever will. If you still think he was to blame for Bush winning, you are not very well informed.

if he really cared that much about the citizens of this country, he'd sit down and shut the fuck up for at least this election. it's way too important to have votes thrown out the window for this waste of space.

dammit the hippies are gonna go crazy. He needs to quit taking votes from the democrats. He should know by now he has absolutely no chance of winning.

i fully supported nader's third party candicacy in the last election because neither of the major parties had a candidate that was a viable option for president, but in this election it is different. it's stupid of him to run because we will end up with four more years of war mongering.

I hope Paul goes independant and takes the election from McCain. That would be quite funny, to see the tables turn.

With Nader's candidacy, it means the Democrats are going to have to work extra hard to make sure that they give a good deal of coverage to the issues he feels are important. If they don't, they will repeat their mistake of 2004, but the stigma that Nader has from the last election will probably make him a non-candidate this time around to all but the most far flung liberals.

So do I, but I think ron paul is smart enough to realize he would take votes away from his party, unlike nader who supports the values he says he's against but can't see because of his big ass ego trip every election. I guess we will see what happens

Maybe if the Democrats would sac up and get out of the pockets of corporations, then we wouldn't need true american heroes like Ralph Nader.

Just because you vote for a Democrat doesn't mean you aren't throwing your vote away.

you're wrong, there's a chance of a democrat becoming president or a republican becoming president. like it or not that is the way it is in the United States. Ralph Nader has no chance in hell and everybody knows it.

yeah but like powder_weasel said he is an American Hero becuase he does take a stand against corporations, unlike the democrats becuase theyre afraid of losing votes. As my history teacher said, he's making the process more democratic by giving people another option, and yeah sure he's taking away some demicrat votes but McCain isnt a true Republican so it balances out.

He is to auto safety what Giuliani is to 9/11. I can't wait for him to bring that up about 10 billion more times trying to exalt his own pompous ass. I guess that's what they teach you at Princeton though. Him and Ron Paul could make an amazing ticket that would garner 6% of the vote with half-baked ideas, centered around conspiracy theories and borderline schizophrenia or dementia. But at least their dumb ass, sheep internet supporters will hang on their every word.

and the option is giving people an opportunity to throw away their opinion. like it or not people a vote for fuck'n Nader is a vote in the trash

Hmmmmm just because it takes away from democratic voters. More candidates, equals more representation, equals more democracy, equals less dictatorship, that the US so dispires. Apparently.

Only good. But thats right, if three million voters vote for him, they get nothing. US democracy = Shit.

hes just wasting money

when i turn 40 im going to run for president (even though i got no money) so all of you NS people vote for me

it's great that he stands for something so noble and unique in our political system, but he's being a total ass running right now because he's just sucking important votes out of an equally important election. we all know what he stands for, but we all also know he's unelectable. it may suck, but that's the way it is.

Tell me again why the Democrats deserve my vote? And if you say because we can't have four more years of the Republicans, then that makes you another tool of the system.

You do have a choice for fuck's sake, use it wisely, think for yourself. Don't be a victim of political extortion.

This is right on. it just sucks that our system is currently only 2 party.

A vote for him in this election is a vote for nothing, in reality. I can understand wanting to push for a 3 party system, but just not possible right now.

This guy obviously has more money than he knows what to do with. It cost so much to run a campaign and he doesn't have the slightest chance.

I'm still waiting for someone to give me a reason to vote for a Democrat. And the reason can't include "at least they aren't a republican".

For iggyskier and the rest: The two-party system is an illusion. There is only one party, the party of the rich and powerful and they use both the Democrats and Republicans. Follow the money and campaign contributions and check out voting records.

When I hear someone say: You are throwing your vote away or there are only two choices. I know that person does not think for themselves, they are merely repeating the lies of those that don't want you to know that you DO HAVE A CHOICE! Who has the most to lose if you vote for a third party? The Democrats and the Republicans have the most to lose, no suprise then that they repeat that same lie about throwing your vote away, over and over again.

Bottom line is that Nader is a narcissistic fool. If he really cared about anything he claims to be standing for, he wouldn't just show up in the political arena every four years. It's an unfortunate facet of bipartisanship that third-party candidates cannot legitimately represent their own paradigms through candidacy, but it is a truth nonetheless, and one that Nader seems either unwilling or incapable of working around. That being said, please vote for an electable candidate this fall.

Yeah man, I agree, that is pretty much the case. They both suck. It is funny to see that all their contributions are basically shared between them. But the two are separate in enough ways to want one over the other. But yeah, it is just a shitshow.

It would be nice if the politics in this country were not so fucked up, but they are.

you need to learn some stuff about the way societies and politics work. There is a reason that we narrow it down to 2 political candidates, if there were a shit ton of candidates, the vote would get split so thin that the winner could be some person that 80 percent of the people in the nation didnt want, but since a 20 percent win puts you in the lead, you could win

Who's to say that the majority of the country would be happy with either candidate? Two party systems create a bipolar country where theres little room for a moderate stance. I'm all for a third party, choices are great.

Believe me, I share many of your concerns/disgusts with our poliitical system. However, I do feel that there is a difference between Obama and Mccain that is worth voting for. For one I am extremely concerned about the legitimacy of our elections, beyond the obvious fact that they are completely fueled by money, but about whether the last two have even taken the real vote tally into consideration. This alone is enough for me to vote for Obama over Nader.

true that the majority of the country will not have the person that they wanted at the start of the primaries as president, but think if there were no primaries and they just ran for president. If you have a third party, who is to stop their from being a fourth and fifth, which I am sure there are, but I mean legitimate parties. And it especially wouldnt work with the electoral college system, because then if somebody won 2 big states, and keep in mind with a large number of parties, they may only need 35 percent to do that, they could almost be gaurunteed the presidency

Now I am not saying I am voting for Nader this election, I will probably write in Kucinich again. I want the Democrats to know that I will vote for them if they actually field a worthwhile candidate.

I hear people calling Nader a narcissist and a moron, but these ad hominem attacks only reinforce my negative opinion of the Nader haters. Where are the issues being discussed? I'm still waiting for that one reason I should vote for a Democrat that doesn't involve politcal blackmail.

I happen to like Nader, I might vote for him. One thing that pissed me off though is that they booed him when his name was mentioned on Conan last night. One thing I don't like about him is that if he didn't run in the last election Bush would not be president.

Well I will give you my argument against his environmental policy.

John Mcain offers no real solutions. The "plan" seems to be extremely vague as he offers no specific strategy on how to solve anything, which tells me nothing is going to get done. As far as I'm concerned, a goal without a specific plan is just a wish. Come on John, cut out all the talk and get to the point. What specifically, are you going to do for the environment? Yes, please tell us. I want a President that makes it very clear what needs to happen to reach a goal, rather than throwing out a blurred vision for the countries future. I believe Obama's plan is much more clear, as he offers a detailed strategy about what he plans to do.

And as far as the Iraq war goes, do you want to see more of this? If yes, vote for McCain.

Sorry man, my last post did not address your question correctly, i'm just so used to giving reason's not to vote for McCain on this website. Anyway, here are a few reasons to vote for Barrack

As said earlier, he puts forward a very clear plan for a change in U.S environmental policy.

He will get our country out of the Iraq war.

He is against lobbyist's corrupting washington

He will make college affordable for us by creating a 4,000 tax credit for those that are unable to pay for college.

He will improve teacher compensation. (I think teachers are ridiculously underpaid)
