How's the cost of living in truckee Vs S.lake? Is it hard to find a good place in truckee or donner?

you need to be looking right now to find the good stuff. check the classifieds in the sierra sun paper.
Tahoe Donner has large homes and condos that are really nice but a bit spendy but worth it.
My buddy is getting a place in Seirra Meadows...huge fenced backyard..two big decks..three bedrooms $1600 a month. Thats typical for a really nice place around Truckee. There's cheaper stuff but its smaller and not as nice.
