My X pipe rant

After watching the finals last night, I have come up with my podium finish.

1. Laurent Favre

2. Simon Dumont

3. Tanner Hall

4. Andreas Hatveit

5. Jon

Simon and Tanner had similar runs but Dumonts first hit killed tanners and he just charged that pipe. It was his third run that won second for me. While simon put his hand down on the landing of his 10 in the second run, he kept it together for the third. Both tanner and dumont though did not effectively use both walls. Some stock tricks thrown on the left wall left them up in second and third.

The judges should reward back to back spins. Back to Back nines and switch hits pretty much win the run in my mind. You can throw 20 feet out of the pipe, but if you are only using one wall, you aernt progressing. The fact that on tanners victory run he threw the exact same run as his winning run shows that he has no diversity and isnt progressing the sport. That last run is to exibit where the sport is going.

Hatveits nollie into the pipe and then switch first hit blew my mind.

Jon, three straight airs isnt gonna win it. His run was a podium run last year, but this year he didnt step it up.

You could say dumont and tanner showed diversity ,but when you are favouring al lthe hard tricks to one wall, its lame.

Next year its runs like favre and hatveit that will win no doubt. Dumont and Tanner are obsolete after this x-games.

...I hope.

go to hell, i think they morked it right, no offebnce, like favres run was so amazing, just i think that the straight airs just didnt cut it, tanner threw a mind blowingtrick off every single hit. i agrree wioth the espn judges

I would like to think that this kind of dissection is obsolete after this year...

Simon had sick runs and pushed it and likley should have won, but tanner was more consistant and clean.

other than amplitude, and 1 hit, tanner's run was the same as it was last year.

Simon's run was amazing, and he used both walls.

I noticed laurent flailed a bit on his first hit. He was so high though.

No Dumont schould be first....no doubt.....the whole run was perfect.....everything was HUGE. sooo much bigger then everybody else........ it was who did the best 1080.....that is it.

Dumont didn't even grab on his 9 or 10.

Tanner had the exact same run as last year.

Favre should have won by a long shot.

dude.. tanner wasnt together like dumont.. and dumont did the latest tricks.. if you are questioning the hand drag at the bottom.. its the bottom... also.. that was his second run. his third he killed it and landed high on the wall unlike tanner landing somewhat sketch and down the wall some.. also.. didnt look like his shit was together..

on top of it all dumont was hurt and tanner was given first by the judges "cause he wanted this more than anyone....and coming off injury 10mnths ago"

fuck espn for screwin skiers... espn should wear a condom next time they want to rape the ski industry and the sport..

ok im pretty sure you should eat a dick right now because everyone has a right to their own opinion. just like the judges.. their opinion was tanner should have won... you cant go bitchin on all of the judges...i mean think about it judging is a hard as job you get put on the spot and...there are so many things to put into check. for example style.. everyone has their own style. some judges like one persons style more than another. so when you go bitching on someone becuase they are wrong for thinking different than you did...cry about it...no one cares
