my war with look bindings

look bindings are shit.iv broken them at least 5 times.for example, first week of skiing i landed off a tiny ass friggin box and the metal thing in my heelpiece got twisted thus the binding was broken. Had to throw those away. recently my other pair of looks got a part ripped off, (the little circle part) and those are gone now because my shop sent them to the dynastar factory.

tommarow im getting salomon bindings. any reason not to?

look bindings are clearly far too good for you. get salomon bindings and have fun being shitty on shitty bindings. shitty mcshit shit.

but seriously i have nevvver ever ever had a problem with looks, best bindings in the history of the world.

WWTJSD?

i've had P12s on my PEs since the PEs first came out whenever that mid season release was I've remounted forward once and never had a problem and they have taken one hell off a beating. and now I have a new pair of P12s on my 189 pistols and they work just fine. so you either just got unlucky or your treating your gear wrong and doing something to the bindings you shouldn't

I can't believe U broke your looks. I broke the titanium plate on my Solomon Ti's. So don't get those. But I was told Looks are better and bomber but I guess not. What now, who makes bomber bindings?

And yeah NJ does smell, it smells so damn bad I had to move to Colorado to get away from the stench.

i love my looks

'i just rented good will hunting , how is it?'

'lets put it this way, even matt damon cant make it suck.'

'matt damon? hes in con air right?'

'yes , yes he is.'

look p12s are the only bindings worth buying for free riding-everythin else sucks until line bindings gets good of course. Ive always had problems with my salomons pre-release though my marker 8.1 logics have held up......this is tru hmmm.

almost lost my finger in looks few years ago in russia, scarry thinking about going to a hospital there. Salomons break in the toe adjustment screw, markers suck every way, never broke a tyrolia

If you broke your looks then you are mistreating them, cause a lot of people have them and they work great

listen, instead of bitching about bindings breaking all of the time, do yourself a favor and invest in some quality bindings at the time of purchase, not whatevers on sale. I can personally guarantee that if you plop down 250 bucks on a set of rossi fks 155's or 185's, that they will be the last binding you will have to buy for the next 5 years. there burly as fuck, and will never break.

I cant STAND people on here that are like, ohh, i just broke ________ that binding, they blow. Well, there are bindings out there made for all different types of skiers, bindings at lower price points will not hold up and are not designed for the amount of beating that jibbers put on there skis. If you plunk down a decent chunk of change and pick up some good bindings, you will never have any issues. All clamps are not the same.

And on top of that, if your being cheap, do yourself a favor and cruze over to your local ski race club. Most of the time racers have loads of old equipment (including beef bindings) that they are looking to get rid of.

Look are awesome bindings. perhaps you had them just a little too big for your boots, and that little bit of play in the binding caused it to break on impact.

Ski like you fuck; fast and hard with a stupid grin on your face.

do people not understand now on ns ski equipment will break from time to time!!!! just because one or two or three people out of like 10,000 regular members on here actually have reported broken shit, the 99% of the rest of us have had the same shit for years and nothing has gone wrong. you're like a bunch of whining school girls.

bons im not selling hahah

and vtrider, those rossi bindings are race bindings that you mentioned...the looks i had were top of the line, and the other pair of rossies that i broke(same thing as look) were also high quality. So the money HAS been plopped. Consider the money plopped.

I'll post what dynastar says when my shop calls me.

bull-shit. the bindings you have are nothing like the fks 155 or 185. pivot bindings or axial bindings are no wheres near the burlyness of the fks or p18 style binding.

those are both race bindings. i dont race, i do jumps and rails. i ski in reverse.

yea i got salomons on mine right now and there pretty nice but im looking at the look bindings if i get a new pair.. but i hear both are pretty good

i dont get how much different bindings cn be excpet for durability, please enlighten me

i have solomon s810s. they're pretty good except for the fact that they weren't set up right by mad dog's in abbotsford. after a day of skiing i went to cheam sports in chilliwack and the owner there fixed them for free.

Holy shit, you're dense. 'Lyke OMG they're used by racers and therfor I cant use dem!' You've got to be fucking kidding me. Who cares what type of skier they're made for, they last longer. You will still release when you need to, and stay in when you want to. I've broken several pairs of Rossi axials, I still think they kick ass, but I'm using all metal team bindings now, and they are tough as hell (though heavy). You should go get some of those and quit whining about your newschool image being compromised, because those 912s you just bought aren't going to be any better... if anything, they'll be worse.

why do you think i care about my image? i said what i said about the race bindings because usually a jib oriented binding such as rossie's axial line, and salomons s912 TI's would be better for doing what we do, rather than a race specific binding...can you blame me for assuming that? I rather invest in a (what they call) park specific binding rather than some race bindings (it wouldnt be about my image anyways, since the race bindings look just like the more park oriented bindings.)

i will let you know how the salomons work out

rossi makes great bindings, aside fromthe breaks, first day undershot the landing on a 25 foot table and cat a edge, snaped the break, but what the hell, pretty much alll breaks are the same

build it, try it, huck it

i dont understand how that could happen, my looks are sick as hell

oh yeah? well me and my friends have been bathing off the southern coast of st. bards, chilling with spider monkeys. tripping on acid gave us a whole new perspective on shit.

I'm sorry, you think they make axial bindings and the S912s for park skiers? Hahahaha... No, sorry, I'm afraid not. We make up basically none of the market, it would be idiocy to design their bindings specifically for our needs. There is no binding 'made for park' aside from the reactor. FKS will work just as well or better from a release perspective, but won't break. Think about it... whose bindings are more likely to be able to stand up to the punishment we put them through: people who cruise groomers and occasionally stray into the deep stuff (all purpose binding), or people who are flying down the mountain at ridiculous speeds, putting all sorts of strain on their equipment? Seems fairly obvious.

Although, if you fuck the brakes up, you're pretty much doomed, given that they're integrated.

word, the roughest bindnings are race bindnings, thats a fact so stop bitching about it.

And axials are fucking great, you probably just had bad luck.

Never heard anything bad about them, never experienced anything bad about them so basicly.

stop bitching.

R5tommy youre a fucking moron. Honestly youre without a doubt one of the dumbest kids on this site after this thread. Do what all the knowledgeable skiers are suggesting and go buy some FKS or p18's some race stock bindings. They are exactly the same as a 'jib' binding except they arent made of plastic and wont break in one day. Pussy.

you made a big mistake man. If you thought look was bad, your in for a big surprise. I have salomon bindings myself, and i can easily say that if there are worse bindings out there, I'd like to see them. Pre-ejaculation, that should be salomons motto.

Drop Cliffs not Bombs

yeah man for high end park skiing the rossi fks or any of the look race stock bindings are the best youre going to get...haha not salomon 900's douchbag

atomic bindnings are so fucking plastic.. theyre nasty everytime i put one on a ski at work i feel sick.

Exept for those new neox they feel pretty solid.
