even whistler is in shabby shape, it's insanely icy and with alot of stuff uncovered

So this is how my trip when down,

It was the roadtrips of roadtrips lots of powder, beer, and it was all done on the smallest budget ever-

We ski bummed right across BC, potching AC power for the electric heater in the jeep anywhere we could-

This is the story in as little detail as possible-

I arived in Vancouver from ottawa on the Jan 14, then proceeded to drive with a buddy (Ryan) for over 8 hours to Rossland, bc home of red mountain,

The freeskiing challange on at red mountain, sick contest, but an even sicker mountain, i was really impressed, Red mountain KICKS ass, Ski bumming in a jeep we incountered a bigger group of ski bums, in the red mountain parking lot, 5 people lived on the 'the PowderBus' 2 of the Treadway's where rocking in a Camo Boiler trailer- Ryan made the finals in the competition which was his goal to start off with-

Skied 4 days at Red-

then it was off to nelson- 1 day

Whitewater had no snow, so it was a bit disapointing- but we did end up doing a cool urban jib, and the RCMP even watched us session it, that was cool

from nelson we drove to

-Ferine where we stayed at a friends house for 4 days, although Fernie didn't have much powder, the price was right, we hiked up each day and potched the lifts. 4 days spent generaly drunk or whatnot in ferine- (bonus points to the bar tenders at the Royal Great PUB) but too many Aussies in fernie- In fernie we heard about the 1st avalanche that claimed the lives of Craig Kelly and others in Revelsoke- a sad loss for those friends of the involed- RIP

from fernie it was up to Panorama-

Panorama- I potched there parc for a day walking up only to discover that they didn't check lift passes on the park chair- After that wonderful discovery another full day of park potching was had- Panorama had great rails set up, but there pipes and jumps where somewhat lacking- Also the powder at the top of Panarama had no base so there was lots of rocks

-no real skiing to be had on this shitty snow year-

from panorama we drove to Rogers Pass we camped out behind a pool for a night at a Best Western-

then the next few days where spent on a Backcountry tour- at the Alsukan Cabin, a major snowstorm the first night gave us endless powder for 4 days- true alpine touring- big powder lines- best skiing i've ever done hands down-

Feb 1st=KICking horse

after that amazing trek it was on to Golden and the coveted kicking horse- Althought we only had one day there- Kicking horses terrain rivaled Whistlers backcountry, lucky us we showed up on a moring after it just dumped some fresh-

I wish i could have skied more of KH-

then it was an 8 hour drive back to Vancouver lucky us we ran out of gas on the highway near chillawack BC at about 1 in the morning that sucked-

Feb.2 Moving back to whistler- yet to come

To sum it up the trip was amazing altough i could write 20 pages on the journey i'll spare all the details, but it was some of the best skiing i've ever done
