they are 10feet and $14 a piece. kinda expensive but i think worth it cause its far better than pvc. slides smoother, wont break, and more stable.

is that the plasticy textured astro turf? i saw it in a driving range and i really want some. how much was it at home depot? does it slide better then the plain other turf?

ya i think its the more plasticy kind but im not really sure cause there werent any other types. it cost $15 for all that you see on my setup. slides real well when wet, no need for dish soap or snow gel as long as the drop in is legit.

^nice, im gonna get some of that

i got mad ripped when i bought way overpriced pvc and it broke when i tried to 270 on

bought a metal drill bit and wood screws that can be tightened by a wrench. i drilled a hole in each end of the pipe then screwed them in using a wrench.

No, I think he drilled through the bottom because in the pic you can't see any holes and he drilled at the ends and that's the only place where you can really tighten the screws on the inside of the pipe.

ya i only drilled through the bottom, not the top. thats why i used screws that could be tightened by a wrench so i could get them really tight and stable.

most of the dropin is made out of my old picnic table so that didnt cost too much. also the rail and jump are built with wood from around my house. i spent $30 on the metal pipes, $15 on the astroturf, $10 on the little wood that i didnt already have and $15 on the green plastic fence, which really isnt necessary but i just used it cause i bought it last summer. so total price $70.

Hey i got 2 questions, how thick is the metal pipe and how tall is your rail setup.

Thanks in advance

the metal pipe is 1.5 inches and the whole rail is 10 inches from the ground. if i were to make it over the only thing i would change is to make it 2-4 inches higher.

really helpful thread man!

how long was it all together?

like how much space did you need from drop in to landing

its 15feet in total, 10ft rail, then 5ft from the back of the dropin to the end of the jump/beginning of the rail

^yo my bad that was completely wrong. those were the measurements for my previous setup. i just went out and checked the whole thing is 27feet. it includes a 10ft rail, 9ft from the back off the drop in to the end of the ramp, and an 8ft transfer from the end of the ramp to the top of the jump.
