My story

I was skipping school to film at loon mtn, in new hamshire last march.
I landed switch with my tails crossed of one of the larger jumps.
I tore my anterior cruciate ligament
I tore my miniscus
I tore my lateral collateral ligament.
I paid a man to cut my leg open and take some of my hamstring out.
I had him transplant the hamstring material into my acl, lcl, and miniscus
I spent the next 7 months and 17 days following an extensive physical therapy routine of 3-6 sessions a week.
I moved from maryland to colorado during this process
I had to fly roundtrip from denver to baltimore multiple times for check-ups with my doctor at johns hopkins.
I was told today that i am ready to ski again.
I am waiting for my flight back to denver.
I got excited and made a thread on newschoolers

I will be at keystone tomorow.

The sad thing is ive been waiting longer, and i never had an injury (knock on wood) thats the EC for yah, but lucky you, enjoy it man

well well well, legendary east coaster and one half of the "two toms," hahahaha. hey dude im knox, i dont know if you remember but i think i met you that one time you were at shithole wintergreen...good luck tomorrow man, and congrats on getting back on the hill, you sure can rip and im surprised i havent heard more about you lately. ill be movin back out that way in a month or so, maybe ill see you around mang.

TW is on the loose.

i advise parents who have children under the age of 10 to keep them inside or under you supervision at all times.

Hey man welcome back, its the best feeling. i had some injuries happen late last year and it sucked majorly, but it feels ooh so good to be riding again, you're gonna have a blast.

your story was surprisingly uplifting haha, i started reading it and thought, oh shit this sucks, kid tore another ligament before thanksgiving, then I got to the end and became happy again, good story

im stoked for you. but just so you know, you can't transplant hamstring into a miniscus. the tear in the miniscus is either trimmed off or stapled back into place.

Welcome back Tom!

Take it easy the first few days out, I know you are stoked to pick up where you left off.

Nips is headed out with OMS on the 7th for 10 days.

no double flips, just go easy for the first few days
oh and nothing more than a 10...work back into it easy
;)

Good luck man... i just tore my acl and meniscus take some runs for me hoepfully i will catch some skiing at the end of the season.

Kid slays and is probably the crispiest thing to come outa the oven since sliced bread. The day he injured himself at Loon he was killin it. If you think Wallisch's zero spins are dope...you have no idea. Hell yeah Warnick!

Did ya pay the man to cut your leg with your lunch money?

My PT was smoking hot

I married her

I have a kewl dog
