so we have football camp this week. first week of any kind of football of the year. we dont have pads yet, just helmets. ok, so we're doing offensive stuff, and then we have people of defense who just

ok, the defense just had blocking pads. so i go to block this guy (we were goin like 50 %) and he decides to go go 100. so i get his elbow RIGHT into the middle of my chest. now i think i cracked my sternum. it hurts to do... just about everything. and tomorrow is the first day of pads, and im not gonna be able to suit up maybe. not good.

wtf are you doing playing football already? we're only alowed to lift and get ready, no practice till like august, rules of the game....

i'd suit up man... just play through it, most coaches understand if you have a serious injury, but w/o doctor written stuff its just an "owie" so play... plus if i got the chance to suit up right now i deffinately would, i miss it so much... cant wait till august comes... oh man

i sprained my ankle on the 1st play of my first game... it sucked... but i taped it up and was fine... it was about the size of a baseball lol

 
Whatever it is, it's okay. Sternums heal fast. When they do heart surgery, they have to saw it in half, and once they wire it back together, it heals back into itself in about a month or so.

Scratch that, I think it's more like two months...but anyways, it's probably alright. I've fallen right on mine skateboarding and skiing, and then it hurts to the touch and deep breathing, but it always gets better quick.

ya you probably just bruised it pretty bad, ive done it a couple times. and i no the feeling, its pretty bad actually. the first time i did it, i took a jump and went backseat, and when i landed i put my arms under me and then my arms got caught underneath me and they stretched my sternum apart, it hurt

 
If it hurts to breath and touch its most likely broken, i broke a kids sternum in 6th grade, he couldnt strectch for hockey,
