My skis

Just bought a pair of head madtrix jojo's 154's. I skied on em 3 times. The skis are ridiculously heavy for a kid my size. What should i do? should i try and get another pair of skis and sell these? I'm thinking about trading em? I dunno.......

Either ditch them or, ski them untill your legs get strong as hell and be better off in the long run. You probably won't notice their weight after a few weeks of skiing them.

We pay our debt sometimes.

look p10s are what i have on em now, but if i sell the skis i'd keep the bindings

Eh, they're not too big for you. Just keep skiing them, you'll get used to the weight. I can't believe switching to a different ski is going to make your setup more than a pound or maybe two lighter anyway, since you're only skiing a 154. You've probably made this a bigger issue in your mind than it actually is.

'but i don't just ski the park, i need to be able to like jump from side to side to avoid trees and shit'

then u shouldnt be lookin at the 1260, its mainly a park ski

plus, i ski tons of moguls, and 1260's are supposed to be good at moguls

im not trying to be a cocky bastard, but i play just about every sport possible and my legs are pretty tough. I just think my weight can't handle it. I mean it's not unbearable but if someone would trade me 05 1260's i'd like that. You think that deals at all possible?

if you wat a mogul ski then get a mogul ski..not a park ski and there is no way your going to get new 1260s for already drilled and used mad trix..just deal with it or get an actual mogul ski

well the 1260's are raited 10/10 on moguls and park, so they seem kinda perfect....dumbass

o really..have you skied them?huh have you?NO and just cause one person rates them 10/10 or line rates them 10/10 doesnt mean they are a perfect mogul ski..why dont you go demo them and see for yourself

i've skied on lines my whole life

i've heard that 1260's are just like ghetto blasters except bigger. And if line rates em 10/10, i think it means something, since they made the ski

I'm curious what the actual weight difference is between a 154cm mad trix and a 150-160cm 1260. Is it just the weight you don't like, or are there other things, like stiffness, sidecut or width that you're having trouble with. Alpine boots and bindings just by themselves probably account for most of the weight of your setup. It sucks if you don't like your new skis, but you want to be sure that you're unhappy with the thing that's really bothering you. What were you skiing on before this?

Here's the bottom line. I have skied both the 1260s and the Mad Trix, and especially if you ski outside of the park, you want the Jojos. Yeah, the MTs are heavy, but after 2 weeks you wont notice, and they are a hell of a lot stiffer than the park-specific 1260. As for skiing a lot of moguls, looking at the dimensions and knowing the stiffness of the MTs, they are a better choice there as well.

stop your bitching and ride what you have, im sure there are plenty of kids out there that would love to have your skis, but they cant afford them. use what you have until they are torn apart. and like everyone else said ski them a few weeks and they wont be so heavy

The head mad tricks are pretty heavy..however head skis are made like fucking tanks. Those skis will last you forever, no matter what you put them through.

You should probably just try and adjust. When I got my first twin tips, 1999 1080s with Salomon bindings, I found them super super heavy compared to my previous skis. After a few weeks I didn't notice it. Once my legs strenghtened and I adjusted to the weight it never bothered me again.

why are you crying, those are good skis, maybe you should just get used to them, then when u do buy lighter skis you will rip twice as hard, good skill builder

WOW NO POLES HAD 1999 1080's! I had a pair that were about that year, like 145's. They were nice and light and really tiny. Ski your skis for a while, you'll get used to it and they will feel good after some time.

yea..ive tried the jojo's and fuck man they are MAD heavy and stiff..like no softness at all..impossible to butter...!

just stick with them until your legs get strong, then get lighter skis and you will be insane

The lines suck in bumps. my friend let me try his and they were so bad. stick with the heads and stop complaining about weight, its not much of a difference. the heads are good skis
