Earlier this season My Surface No Times snapped at the tip when I came off of a downrail leaning too far forward over the tips. I had seriously only ridden on these skis for 20 days, I was so bummed. I know theres nothing I can do about it but it seriously put a downer on my season. I just thought I'd share with you guys I'm sure all you surface-haters are gonna love this.

I've skied 4 different pairs of surface skis, one pair being double times that ive skied on and off for two seasons, and i've never broken a pair. thats sayin something right there #eheathfatjokelol

I had a pair of 2009 Head J.O. Pros that snapped right under the boot from landing too far on the noses while doing my first rodeo on a 15 foot jump, after maybe 25 days on them. turns out the entire inside of my ski crumbled like it was nothing and it wasnt cover by warranty because they claimed it was "100% rail damage"

have you written to surface before sticking this all over NS? they have always been really helpful and responsive in my experience...

somehow i missed the memo that surface makes shitty quality skis. and i just bought a brand new pair of double times. are they really that bad???

i skied the surface next lifes (junior ski) for about 2 seasons, and never have a problem with them up until this past season when i tried to tranny find and ended up sticking my tips straight in the snow. It split the topsheet and base apart at the tip.

sucks, i have a friend who had a bunch of problems with his 2010's but he got a free pair of GP84's under warranty cuz he's a lucky little cunt.

To everyone saying that surface is a company that makes terrible quality skis needs to shut the fuck up. Clearly you have not skied a pair in your life so you dont know shit from chocolate cake. Yes there were problems with the nine lives, but surface addressed the problem. From there its all down to skier error. If you are skiing park expect your skis to break. You are beating them against metal last i checked skis were made for snow not metal. Surface is a legit company who take feedback from their products seriously and they are willing to help. The no times like the nine lives are a price point ski, which means you are getting a cheaper ski with cheaper construction. If you want the best surface ski for park get the double time..... All the people who hate need to shut the fuck up, for you have no clue what you are talking about

This post is wack. You obviously have not skied another brands of skis. My Codas (150cm) are thin as fuck and I treat them like shit. I skied urban with them for like 5 days this year and they're riding like they're right out of the factory. Despite the fact that Armada's customer service is shit.

Like i said above, not everyone skis the same. different weight causes different stress. but if you constantly ride rails and hit jumps how do you expect to have skis that last. and why should you be saying anything you clearly have only ridden little kid skis because you are a little kid. and you being a little kid hints that you are like 100lbs.

sorry man but it sounds like surface skis get snapped alot. my armadas however have been holding up like a champ

about 80 days

Same story with my halo's, I ski them like any other park ski, have at least 35-40 days so far but look like they have 2, previously I was using my friends surfaces, and the heel piece completely ripped out easily 3 times in the 20 days I used them

it's good to read that because I was gonna get a pair of green lifes.

not anymore though. I can't even see how they are any more environmentally friendly than watch lifes anyways.

how? just purely interested cos the break is in the opposite direction you'd expect...

probably snapped when he landed back seat, then he bent it back the other way so it would completely break...

Happened to my friend's...twice. He had them warrantied and it happened to the second pair almost immediately. Surface makes shit skis.

Every pair of skis that I have seen snap are surfaces. Not just nine lives, although two of them were. Also have seen no times snap and a pair that the bindings refused to stay in, but that could be mounting problems.

First of all, they are a park ski, they are advertised as a ski to ride on both metal and snow. Second of all Surface Pow/All Mtn skis are THE shit, but their park skis, at least in my experience are shit. A friend of mine broke his old atomics at the end of the season last year, so he bought some No Times for hood and hadn't skied a day on them before hand, not even on his backyard setup. On the 5th day, just after learning lincolns, he threw one on a 15, maybe 20 foot jump, he landed a little back seat, maybe just in front of the knuckle, and he rode away like it was nothing. At the bottom of the park, we noticed that his right tail was on about a 60˚ angle. They were great with customer service, but the new pair soon broke this season and he just bought some G-Butters.

Been there, my nine lifes lasted a season and snapped, surface hooked me up with a new pair but ill never ride their park line again. The double times a hybrid between bigmountain and park, I'd recommend them they have gotten me through some tough runs.
