Whatsup guys,

I just bought these skis from a shop in SLC, they were demo skis from last year. Great condition, maybe rode on for 5-6 times. In fact they were in so good condition I really didn't give them a thorough look over. However I noticed this today...

Fischer Atuas.. it looks like someone stomped down on a flat rock very hard and split this a bit.. the edge is intented slightly and there is a slight crack as you can see. Should I worry about it?

that is sidewall delamination not craked sidewall.

does it looks like there is damage on the edge/base???

if not, bring them to the shop and texplain the situation

no if you look the ski is upside down its your edge peelin off , if you hit rails it happens , personally id say fuck it if you hit rails its not worth fixin to much money

Thank Ced.. never really seen a delam before. There is no real damage to the base, a mark maybe where it hit something, but no indentation. There is however indentation with the edge, the metal has a tiny bit of wave to it. I can't take them back to the original shop since I'm too far away, however I will take them in to get looked at when I have my bindings mounted to them and see if theres anything they can do to fix it or at least delay a full delamination.

they can epoxy and clamp the shit out of it, which means it will be good as new, shouldn't cost too much either

happened to my first gen msps... they just continued to delam, no matter how much gorilla glue i used. Too bad, i liked the skis and its a warrantiable issue, but i didnt mount and ride them until they were no longer warrantiable
