well i needed new skis and boots cuz all lasts years shit is too small. so i went to the shop today and heres what ill be riding this year:

179cm 07 Fujatives (only $189 cuz they were last years model)

08 Scratch Bindings (center mounted)

07 Nordica Beast 5 boots

What do u guys think? Also ive got a bit of a dilemma. My dad said that for doing good in school he'd either buy me a pair of boots or a pair of skis w/ bindings. obviously ill take the skis cuz thats $350 but i was thinking maybe i'd want another pair of skis like for outside the park. i mostly ride park here (indiana) but was plannning on a west coast trip too. im just wondering if the lack of perfomance outside the park will be enough to bother wtith another pair of skis

i really wanted this years fujis BUT i saved like $110 by getting last years and since there is no difference between the 07 and 08 fujis performance wise i figured it wasnt worth it.

something wider never goes astray..maybe look for somethng stiffer and in the ~90mm region..for those days where there is good snow

Were the boots properly fitted? You could always upgrade your boots, or get some custom footbeds made or something?

ive just come off a season riding the new ones, and with the rocker, i found they ski different. especially in pow, they aint super wide but still float. and i think they were softer aswell. just if you wanted two, you could get just that one pair for all round.. just an idea

If your boots fit you now... then I'd recommend picking up a stiffer ski for all-mountain, perhaps a bit wider too. If your boots don't fit you well, then getting boots that fit is much more important then a second pair of skis.
