Anybody follow this guy on YouTube?

Been watching his stuff for a few months now. It's been really cool to watch him build his cabin, outdoor kitchen, sauna, etc. And to watch how he lives.

For those of you that may not have heard of him, Shawn James has been wanting to build his own log home and live their permanently all his life. He built up enough savings, retired, and built a log cabin out in the Canadian wilderness. He and his wife live there. Their kids are off to college.

I'll check that out ,ever see "alone in the wilderness" I think dick prenokee ,the guy had some amazing of carpentry skill.

Dick Proenneke was a big inspiration to this guy. So it's kinda the same vibe. In one of his episodes he goes to visit Dick's cabin in Alaska.

I've been watching his channel for quite a while. His long form zero narration videos are my favorite. His skills are pretty impressive.
 
This guy must have been a solid carpenter at some point cause that cabin turned out awesome for using hand tools. It's always been a dream of mine to build a log cabin and leave the concrete and bullshit of the modern world but my back wouldn't last so shows like this are a way to dream I guess.

I'm thinking mountain men, life below zero etc. Were inspired by dick prenokee's (spelling) alone in the wilderness shows. I bought dicks first video off channel 9 along time ago and must have watched 7-8 times.
