My season has ended short

my season is over. im pretty pissed because Volkl said they wouldnt warranty the skis.

i went to 270 on and landed switch on the box and hit a piece of wood sticking out of the box and flew right back. i went to pick up my skis and my heel binding pulled right out of the ski.

Volkl claims that this is a true park ski and for the most part it is. But its still missing a lot.

ill be getting the Solomon Dumonts next year, hopefully they will last me longer then the Volkl Walls.

Or, would it be possible to healy coil them? Skis aren't bombproof. if you ski park, they break. Not saying that's regular wear and tear, because that shouldn't have happened...

It's called a HEALY COIL it's like a metal insert that goes into the old holes from where your bindings were. If the holes are just stripped they might work.

ive seen a couple of walls this seaosn come back with bindings ripped out.

the first batch of walls they made this season have a tendency to rip out, so i would take it back to the shop and try again, or try another shop

i work at a ski shop and the only way i can get a new pair is if they get warranted.

everybody thinks that the wood inside the ski cracked causing my binding to come right out. i think differently, i think the binding came out because the is nothing inside the walls that reinforce the screws when the binding is screwed in. the wood couldnt hold the binding in because it was faulty. thats my take on it. not only have my bindings ripped out, but my edges cracked in 3 different places.

i dont have a clear reason why this happened.

a have a few friends that their heal piece ripped out and the company didnt do ne thign about it.. they had to buy new skis cuz of pressure cracks going from the front of the binding all the way to the back..

30 bucks at a shop to get the holes heli-coiled (i think that's what it's called) and have your heel piece re-mounted at the same spot
