so apparently there is a copkiller somewhere in my town and now they wont let us out of the classroom. has this happened to any of you guys and how long were you stuck?

They just shut down Bear Mountain. Think they found his truck on a fire road between Summit and Bear. Summit to stay open. No sighting of the suspect.

Superintendent was just on the phone with channel 9, stated lockdown to remain in effect until parents pick up children. If you take the bus, he said those would return children as scheduled.

SBD Sheriff's have a team on the ground approaching the vehicle.

If you walk home, you could be stuck until your parents come get you.

Happened to me once. They had to raid some guy's house across the street from my middle school. It was awesome not having to do anything for an hour or two but apparently they found some big ass guns in his house.

yea they just told us we've only been stuck here for like 2 hours so it's not that bad I don't think he buses are running though

my friend who lived in a shitty area of jersey used to go to a school where almost every time there was a test, there was a bomb threat called...

Some douche across the road from my school was sporadically shooting, everywhere I suppose. Aside from that, nothing to eventful, knock on wood.

Confirmed the vehicle is the suspect's.

FBI, Sheriff searching ALL vehicles leaving the area of Bear Mountain.

He's been targeting ANY police officer and their families, although LAPD does have 40 "potential targets" under security details.

One time in high school an armed man was on the school property and we locked down for a bit. Pretty freaking scary though

lol

My friend used to work trail crew for the Forest Service, they would find grow ops up off SR-38 ALL the time.

big bear high school. i just got home after 3 hours of being stuck in math. its crazy how the presence of one guy can fuck over an entire town

Have you been to any of these cities and neighborhoods? You're a young white kid from the East. I highly doubt you understand the various features and ethnographies of these communities. GTFO.

My school had a lockdown drill yesterday with drug dogs, I think 3 or 4 kids got busted. Me and a few other kids were in the gym when it happened, so we were just chilling shooting hoops the whole time.

Drove through Watts in LA.

I've been to 45 of 50 states. I think I know a bad neighborhood when I see one

a guy robbed a bank accros my school today and we went on lock down. they made us turn of the lights and we had to go under the table. during this we all sung gospel songs.

LATimes reporting fire officials state they found fresh tracks. Supposedly they're going house to house in the entire area.

ummm one time there was a tornado watch by my school and we had to go sit in the hall, so i played angry birds for an hour then went home when school ended...

As someone who used to work 911 ambulance response in Compton, Watts, and Inglewood I can tell you that there are FAR worse areas of Los Angeles. Furthermore, I don't see what coincidence those neighborhoods have with the current incident.

This. But in my grade school there was a lock down because there was a skunk on campus. I was happy we did nothing and just got too watch a skunk walk around outside of the school.

Flux bindings posted this on facebook, said they saw it by bear mountain

As a result of of those incidents, LAPD and LASD have concentrated on increasing their profile and public view within such communities.

Furthermore, Inglewood is served by Inglewood PD, Unincorporated Watts and Compton are served by LASD and The Watts neighborhood within the city of Los Angeles by LAPD.

The communities have changed a lot in the 20 years since the "Rodney King" riots which I am old enough to have remembered. What were once predominantly African-American communities have transformed into mixed Hispanic/African-American and predominantly Hispanic neighborhoods. The vast majority of these residents respect the local police presence and appreciate what they do for their communities.

The officer killed was in Riverside, where I used to live. This is also a community where the vast, vast majority of those individuals respect the local police. I am sure there will be some East Side Rivas or other gang members who cheer the killing, but again most people are mourning the city's loss.

Again, that's a gross misrepresentation of the vast majority of citizens within these communities.

Also supposed to snow there tonight/tomorrow.

My hunch is that he's long gone. Apparently the vehicle was first reported on fire at 0930 and found completely burned out shortly thereafter.

California resident James Ferrario shot dead a uniformed deputy police officer and a locksmith who had come to evict him from his house. He then barricaded himself inside, and caused a standoff with local law enforcement.[13] Shortly thereafter, a troll posted an AMA thread on 4chan’s /b/ board, claiming to be Ferrario.[14]

The news of the standoff was quickly picked up by Sacramento FOX affiliate KTXL Fox 40.[13] A reporter made the mistake of featuring the aforementioned /b/ thread, and claimed that Ferrario had a gorilla fetish (due to numerous Jimmies-related images being posted), saying that he called himself “Jimmy Russel” or “Jimmy Rustle.” Once /b/ got word of this, Jimmies jokes exploded over the thread, and spread across the sit

It's weird because as I was driving through the town in Big Bear to get a haircut yesterday, I saw smoke coming from where they say they found his car today.
