My school being a bitch about hair length

So my school are making me cut my hair, and i refuse, so they are giving me detention starting last week, on the other hand, hockey players have bleached mohawks and other stuff. when i asked them why they were allowed the school said that it was part of the hockey life or something like that. If anyone knows a link or has proof that having long hair is part of the skiing culture, it would be helpful to prove to my school that us skiers have some human rights just like the douchbag hockey players. thanks and pce.

My school will make you shave your facial hair if it gets too long, and it's a public school. It "hides your identity" or some bullshit like that.

that is the dumbest shit i have ever heard. I used to have super long hair and my private school didn't give a shit. And the hockey life argument is so dumb.

The solution is simple: Freeskiing is about being free and you interpret being free through your long hair.

It's probably not worth the battle my friend, just get a hair cut.

But show them Cam Riley's segment in Network if your feeling stubborn haha.

Show them a picture of tanner hall. Say that he is your idol and that you feel violated if you cannot rep the hair that your idol has... I have no fucking ideA..

had the same problem at my school a while back, we fought it and refused and gave them valid reasons why the rule was stupid and eventually got the rule changed. might as well fight it, just don't make it a huge deal

tell them it's against you're religion or something.

I do agree that's a shitty situation. If someone told me to cut my hair I'd tell them to go fuck themselves with a cactus.

lol private school. if any school made me cut my hair i would tell them to fuck off and find a new school.

My hair is not even that long, it goes up a bit pass the tip of my nose.. and when im at school i comb it back so it looks shorter.. Im thinking of getting cornrows since someone had it last year.

1. yes I know thank you2. it's not about being cool, it's about not being a little bitch. the school is just trying to bully this kid, what does hair length/style have to do with learning?

Hahaha. Just do something like this though. Get some crazy over the top hair style thats not covering your face or something. They'll probably make up some bullshit rule on the spot but it would be hilarious.

You know how I know you're American? Jesus Christ, why the fuck does a school have the power to tell you how long your hair can be? What is this, North korea? How does hair length affect your ability to learn? Learning IS the point of school after all, is it not?

This. Make sure you clarify with them what the exact rules are regarding hairstyles. Then do the most ridiculous thing that is within the rules.

Your school isn't nearly as strict as mine. Hair can't touch the collar, no shorts unless it's daylights savings, no facial hair, no piercings on guys (not like that matters to me), girls can't wear shorts 6 inches above the knee, no yoga pants, no flip flops, the list goes on. Yes that's district wide and yes it's a public school.

We have a blazer that we need to wear on mondays, then the rest of the week its dress shirt with dress with tie, pants, polish black shoe. No piercing( this also doesn't matter to me) grey socks. hair cant be over collar... girls is skirts that look huge, cant be the width of a 5 dollar bill over the knee.. and it also goes on...

wtf are those school haha? mine absolutely have no rule about clothes/hair. I'm wearing a snapback 100% of the time during class, girl can wear whatever they want(not to slutty) and you can wear 5xl shit if you want to.

You know how I know your canadian? Because you compared North Korea to America.... Not alike at all bahahaha dumbass
