My Review of 300

Its entertaining. There is a plot, and here it is:

The Persians, with the help of a Spartan traitor, bribe the Spartan priests to withold their blessing for military action. Leonitus and 300 spartan warriors go to hold back the persian army, which is illegal without the blessing of the priests. Leonitus's wife must try to convince the council to go to war while the 300 soldiers hold back the massive persian army.

BAM. I'd say you have yourself a plot there. It's not an incredibly deep plot, (and yeah theres lots of historical inaccuracies) but who cars, just watch the fuckin movie
 
it didnt need a plot... it was so epic. of course everyone knew what was going to happen next the whole movie.... it happens alot when they are somewhat historical. but still it was sick and the coolest most intense fighting scenes ever...

plus about halfway through i realized i had turned gay, every dude in that movie including the non important extras had rock hard abs...

and whoevers complaining about it not having a good plot or whatever..take it for what it is...a high budget hollywood ACTION movie
 
300 was the best movie ive seen for awhile, the fight scenes were so sick. THe plot is also pretty good, like what kind of plot do you expect, thats how wars are. If you want a movie with a plot go see Notebook.
 
this is a sick movie, i dont think you understand that plot is not important in a movie like this. The movie was made to show a certain kind of animation and style, they just had to have some sort of story to make it worthwhile.

i do agree the sex scene was stupid and random, they most likely put that in there because sex sells to some extent
 
Forget 300. That half-baked piece of shit was just a bunch of Half-naked nazis trying to prove how badass they were. However while we are on the subject of badass, who say the Pathfinder trailer? eh? eh? those native americans were totally weak and stupid and didn't stand a chance against the Norsemen until they began recruiting.
 
Saw it last night, liked it. I know the movie portrayed mostly the myths written of the battle but where did those bomb thingies derive from? Like, did african troops actualy have any weapon similar too that?

movie i have seen in as long as I can remember. The fight scenes were decent... thats it. if there was no dialogue... it would be infinitely better. i shoulda known better when i found out it was directed by the Dawn of The Dead guy.
 
I thought it was the worst movie I had ever seen, and it totally reinforced my motives to illegally download movies so that I am not ripped of by this horrible garbage.
 
300 was sick, amazing fight scenes blood spatter everywhere good special effects realistic look for the most part only a few loop holes in the plot and even some porn scenes

the one thing that could improve that movie would be if the chicks had bigger breasts thats it all you kids that were wining about it having no plot duhhhhh thats not why they made it, if it had a plot and was historicaly correct it would have sucked. ya didnt got to the movie theature to learn ya went for some good ol' killin' and thats it.

good movie worth my 5 bucks fo sho!
 
i didnt read your poset, its too long. heres how i sum the movie up an hour and a half or people getting stabbed in the chest. 15 mins of "storyline" and 5 of those mins were just excuses to show boobs.

 
I don't know why any of you people are looking at it as a historical movie even in the least bit. It was based on the graphic novel, and I think it did a great job doing that. They used a lot of the same exact lines, and even shot most of the scenes the same exact way they showed up in the panel.
 
I just got back from seeing it and yes, it was amazing. The best part by far was when the sex scene switched to doggy style because honestly, half of the thater was laughing (matinee showing right after we got out of school 75% were under 18) and then a guy with 2 kids who had to be under 8 got up and left. It was amazing
 
funny review. plot was kinda crappy but other than that it was soo sick. great bloodbath and all. i did laugh at the sex scene where they did the super slow-mo of the bouncing nipple.
