My recent ski trip to Gulmarg, India, video feedback!

Hey NS,

I recently got back from Gulmarg, India and have put together this short video from the trip! Considering the conditions we had I'm pretty happy with how it came out! We arrived and there was no snow on the mountain at all, but within 2 days of arriving the first big storm of the season came through and made it possible to ski. There were still plenty of rocks and branches sticking out but you could find zones which were awesome! After a few bluebird days we had the final big snowfall of the trip and this is when conditions started to get awesome!

I've been dreaming of going here every since I watched The Tangerine Dream, maybe 8 years ago, so was incredibly excited to get the chance to go and I'm sure I will be heading back sometime in the future.

If interested, you can read the full write up of the trip here: robin-lee.squarespace.com/blog/gulmarg/17/2/2015

And here is the video I made. I hope you enjoy and feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

well it looks like a professional edit. if this was actualy youthen nice job this is sick!!!

Well yes, of course this is my work... I will take that comment as a very nice compliment, thank you :)

I really really liked it man! The only thing i would change is that sometimes the shots of the skier in red seemed a little long and like he wasnt enjoying himself so much, I dunno it just took a little bit away from the edit in my opinion! Anyways, I really dug it, keep up the good work

Thanks dude, appreciate it. I don't quite understand how you think it looks like he isn't having a good time, if anything, he was having more fun than anybody else!

That was incredible, felt like I was watching something from TGR

Thank a lot man! That means a lot! :)

I agree with most of the above comments. I watch ski videos almost every day and this one is the best I've seen in a while. Great balance of skiing and locational shots. The whole thing was aesthetically pleasing. Top notch!

That was awesome, just curious as to what camera it was shot on/ lenses used. Thanks

I don't know how recent it is but his website says he uses this

"That soon turned into a passion and although the GoPro - now updated to the Hero 2 - still has a role I now mainly use my Canon 7D & 5D Mark III for most of my work."

Thanks for all the positive comments guys, really means a lot!

In regards to my setup, as said in the post above I used a 7D and 5DIII but the GoPro shots where actually the new Hero 4. A good reminder to me that I need to update my website! Thanks!
