i always have a problem justifying the big support beams to the side, they just look like they could be instant death

^i totally agree with you. i just put little ones at the beginning and end of my rail, if i had those big supports i prolly woulda been fucked a couple times.

the first time that your ski slides through one of those supports, you will regret making then that large

$50 for the rail itself, but altogether with the inrun (which is not finished yet) its about 150$

Yea I'm pretty sketchy of those supports. Especially because its 14'...as soon as you come off youre gonna have to get out of the way of those.

yea, thats the first thing i thought of when i saw it haha. it would be kinda sick to put plywood over the gaps between the supports (the part thats diagonal) to make it so you could hit if from the side sort of skateboard style haha

couldnt they just be covered over in plywood?...

just an idea.

that rail looks super sturdy. sick

did you drill little pilot holes or did the screw go into the pvc no problem?

how did you attatch the PVC onto the 2x4? the only way we could think to do it was drill a hole big enough in the top of the pipe to be able to get the head of the screw though and periodically do that along the pipe.
