My project needs your help!

Hey guys. So NS is probably the biggest community that I'm part of. I've been using/contributing to this site nearly 7 and a half years now. I haven't asked for much, so now I am.

I've started a project that I'm hoping I can turn into a non profit. I'm going to be driving around the country for the next 3 months interviewing women about their lives and making mini ethnographic documentaries. This is in conjunction with the Facebook page that I've created to share content as well as an instagram, youtube account, twitter, and website with a blog.

The point is to challenge perspectives on American life and share as many perspectives as possible--everything from transvestites to housewives.

I'm hoping that this first project can garner enough interest that I can do additional ones on other demographics. I've started with women my own age since I'm going to be alone on the road for 3 months. Stranger danger and all that.

Anyway, I have my Facebook page set up and I just maxed out my individual messages quota. I want to get up to 700 likes so that I can hopefully get interviewed by my town newspaper. If I can get interviewed by them, then I can likely get interviewed by my national sorority. If I can manage that, then I can likely get support from a hell of a lot of other places as well. But getting up to 700 is pretty damn hard especially when you're not anyone particularly important.

It would be absolutely fucking amazing if you would be willing to like my page. Follow the content or don't, but I really want to get the word out there so that my page can help the audience it's built for.

Here's the page: https://www.facebook.com/averagethirty

Aside from that, I'm also on the hunt for women between 29 and 32 willing to be interviewed/photographed/recorded about their lives. If you know anyone that fits in that demographic that would potentially be interested, please shoot me a message and I can give you my contact information to get in touch.

THANK YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE.

If you have any questions, I would be more than happy to answer.

Again, the page: https://www.facebook.com/averagethirty

It is empirically proven that NS is not full of wonderful people

EXAMPLE A:

You haven't been in charge of Secret Santa. There are some pretty rad/wonderful people here.

EXAMPLE A:

I'm such a terrible person because I didn't read op's post. I should probably just kill myself, am I right?

My family hates me now and my friends are just disgusted in my unwillingness to read a post on the internet. My life is just a huge waste and suicide is the only option.

Way to make a smile out of a frown.

you did an awesome job with that/olympic coverage, I'd be happy to like your page! Best of luck with your project/hope it goes great

I'm bumping this again. Because a few of you did like the page and then it was Saturday night and no one was around.

It's really hard asking for help, so the kind words make me feel a hell of a lot better.

To the ones who checked it out, thank you so much.

Non profits dont need to generate an income. If they do, they need to pay taxes on it. I'll be able to write off most of this on taxes, but only to a certain extent since it's 100% loss.

As far as my audience, I want it to be everyone, but in the mean time, it's more so females between 24 and 37 do to the demographic of this initial project.

I would eventually like it to become a project that college students do in intro anthro/gender/culture studies courses in which the website could serve as a data collection of american life.

And if you actually are willing, shoot me a message. I assume you probably know other females that fit the demographic as well.
