Sideswiped on my way home from school yesterday. Got hit by a brinks armored car. It was trying to change lanes and didn't see me, fucking retarded. My only condolence is that he got like 4 tickets.

Thank god for full coverage insurance, it's going to cost about $5000 in bodywork and maybe more cause there might be some frame damage.

If you click the pics you can see more extensive damage. The rear door, those are actually holes through the metal. The trucks rims had lug nuts that stuck out away from the tire and ripped up my entire door. So frustrated at how stupid that driver was.
 
the scratch at your back wheel kind of looks like a sick decal, haha. that sucks though man, definitely not cheap.
 
How fast were you guys going? I'm surprised there isnt more damage; your subbie looks pretty good for something that got hit by an armored truck.
 
25-30 mph or so. It doesn't look too bad in the pics, but its still going to be $5000 at least in repairs. It looks alot worse in person my blackberry didn't really do it justice.
 


As a fellow subaru owner, my condolences. But sine he was a professional driver, shouldnt their insurance pay for everything? Are you feeling sharp, shooting pains in your neck too? Your shoulder looks pretty bruised up too. . . .
 
Michigan is no fault insurance. I think they will pay my deductible at least if not the whole thing. I actually did get a little whiplash, but I'm not going to milk it. Not worth it really.
 
Meaning that if you get hit by someone, even though its their fault, by insurance terms it is "no fault" or no blame is given. So if you don't have full coverage, and someone hits you, you still have to pay for it. Pretty lame.
 
that is the stupidest thing i have ever heard. does that apply if you kill someone? is it still not your fault? im very intrigued by this now.

however, im sorry dude, it sucks.

you should sue brinks for hiring incompetent drivers that endanger your life.

 
no i ment if you got in a car accident that kills someone...because if the accident is not your fault, then killing the person cannot be your fault. you cant have one without the other.
 
Ya kinda It had slammed back, and its kinda scratched and dented. Since it was higher up on my car and didn't stick out as far it just snapped back.

As for the no fault insurance, that only implies to damage on your car. The other driver will still get citations and stuff like that. It's just for car damage.
 
Sucks but you do have a goregous car (pre wreck).

I brinks almost ran over one of my dads friends that was on a brand new motorcycle, He had to slide it under the car and total it, but he called brinks and said he was going to sue so they payed him tons of money for a new bike plus more.
 
fuck that dude, sue brinks. contact any lawyer asap and they will get your shit done for you, brinks will settle and prolly fix your car just to keep you from suing for personal injury and shit
 
I hate car accidents, as im sure you do as well. Even with no fault insurance Im pretty sure because it was a business car they have to take care of it. Hope everything works out and Im glad you're okay!
 
I won't have to pay it, cause I have full coverage on my car. However, the insurance company will be calling them to take care of it all.
 
if it makes you feel any better, someone smashed my window last night, didnt take my system or anything, but managed to find a couple dollars, they did get my ipod touch too :( hidden under the seat. but ya still doesnt come close to your subarus damage.
