My one-piece makes me happy in ways I can't describe with words

So I bought new jacket and pants for myself this season.

I got the Volcom Rainbow-Cheese and some sort of NFA pants.

Anyways, for those of you who don't know, Volcom jackets and pants zip together on the powder skirt for maximum powder protection. I got jealous, so I went to the local sewing shop, bought a big zipper, and sewed it on to my jacket and pants. Now I can zip them together into a one-piece

I just tried it on for the first time, and it is wonderous. My butt isn't constrained by a belt, and it thanks me. ohhh I am so happy with my handy-work. I'll give everyone an update when I ski with it.

^haha.

NMassault: sorry for offending you, but I thought it was a good idea, so I figured I would share it. Try it out man. Your butt will thank you when it is floating free.

I will post pics sometime today. maybe in the next half hour or so.

I fancy doing that next week! I don't think the pow is gonna hold though, making it a bit pointless!

haha, so what, you now ski down the hill with a massive erection since you're so happy?

nice though, I wish I had a powder guard after my fall today, I had so much snow down my pants melting in my boots. It's the worst.

Allright, here is how I did it.

First, I went to the sewing store, got a heavy 36 inch zipper. Make sure that you get one that comes completely apart, some don't. Like the ones on pants don't.

Then, I sewed one half by hand onto the top of the pants. I lined the middle of the zipper up with the middle of the back of the pants, and sewed out in both directions from the middle.

After that, i put on the pants and put them at the appropraite level of sag, where I like to wear them. I put my jacket on and pinched it where the pants hit it on the inside. I also marked it a little higher in the front so that the top of the pants covers up my whole crotch well, so I stay warm.

After that, I did almost the same thing. I lined up the middle of the jacket and the middle of the zipper. I made sure that the zipper was in the right direction so that it would be able to zip onto my pants.I pinned the zipper onto the jacket where I wanted it, and I sewed it carefully on, making sure not to sew it through the outer layer of fabric.

Then I rejoiced with song and dance, and old friends once forgotten.

This last part is key.

Things I would reccomend:

1. A strong zipper. Don't to it all for nothing... If the zipper breaks, you have just wasted time.

2. A strong needle. Pushing through all that fabric breaks needles. I broke 4. Sometimes when you are pushing hard and they break, little peices of metal stick into your flesh, which can then get gangrenous. I took a wild shot at spelling that.

3. Strong thread. See number 1.

4. one of those rubber things that you put in your hand to help open bottles and tomato sauce screw on tops. It helps to pull the needle through

5. Sewing experience. At my school, we were all required to take a sewing/baking class. It was surprisingly fun, and I can sew. If you can't, try and get someone who can, cause otherwise it will turn out crappy.

6. Cajones. Only real men can wear fag bags. Make sure you are comfortable with your sexuality/manhood. If you are homosexual, no problem, just ignore thing I would reccomend number 6 (being this whole thing that you are reading).

sounds like a sick idea. a one peice that looks like two. For thread you could probly use high grade fishing line, it'll be alot stronger then any old thread.

OH SNAP

looks like just another "post your setup with pics" thread picture:

BUT WAIT, WHAT'S THIS?

Here is the pants alone with the zipper:

and here is where you can see how I sewed on the sipper to the jacket, where it is higher on the sides so the pants cover my crotch:

Im gonna do that. except Im gonna connect the very brim of the coat to the very brim of the pants, no overlapping. Then it will be uber baggy.

I was thinking about doing that, and before it was on the bottom of the powder skirt, but then when you lifted up the jacket my entire crotch was exposed to the elements.

You could just sew the whole pants all the was around the jacket, no zipper
