My old schools abortion "assembly"

ive been at a new school for the last year or so, and i found this out from a friend of mine that goes to my old school, which is a private, christian school.

so the administration sends home a very non-detailed notice to parents announcing an assembly on abortion. so students go to said "assembly" and are forced to view videos of abortions and some other brainwashy sort of stuff. mind you there are kids as young as 7th grade here. that just seems like its a little young to see this sort of thing. but thats not the end. turns out, the school had signs ready and made to hand out to the students, which they brought to an abortion clinic to hold a protest. what the fuck. they forced the kids into protesting abortion.

im gonna go protest god at the school and see how they like it...
 
i dont have problems with opinions of others, but the whole "shock kids into thinking everything you tell them is true" just doesnt fly with me

and just another random tid-bit: i once got my iPod taken away at school (its not allowed-you know-private school) and the principal kept it until the end of the year, and when i got it back she told me i needed to have my brain flucshed out. i have yet to find out how to flush my brain...

That's diplorable, a schools purpose is to prepare kids to make their own decisions about the world, not make their decisions for them.

if that happened here im guesssing something major would happen to the school. even if it was catholic.

considering what they showed was wrong too. search up "the silent scream" and then enjoy reading. i think it was mentioned somewhere else in a forum, just not sure where.

Can't be as bad as some of the drunk driving vids I watched in drivers ed, there was one were they pulled half the guys body out of a car.

i think ill just LISTEN to "Silent Scream" ( the Slayler song) instead of wathing that video. The lyrics are pretty intense and they get the message through, plus i dont feel like throwing up.
 
wow thats fucking bullshit!!! i go to a christian school in minnesota, that would never fly here, everyone would go home, tell mommy and daddy, then the school would be in deep fucking shit!!! i know i would get pissed if they forced me to do anything i didnt believe in!!! i thinkit was ok to show the vidoe and maybe talk about what it is, but the part about signs and helping support a protest like that is just rediculuse!!!!!!!!
 
I sometimes wish I still went to catholic school, like I did for elemantary school. I'd raise such hell and call the school out on so much ridiclous shit they try to push on people.

i had to go to one of those last year, i didnt like seeing babies aborted, but i already am against abortion anyway, so it didnt affect me at all
 
No, it's just fucked that they force this kind of thing on kids. You can assume abortion is bad, they don't need to show you videos of it.
 
you should totally rape the principal or teacher and get them pregnant. then see what the y have to say about abortion. i know it sounds ridiculous but my god you cant just force beliefs onto kids in a non religious school.
 
i already said this on a different abortion thread, but... I hate extremists. If you are against abortion, fine, thats your thing, and you can do something about it, like vote against it, pray for people, promote adoption, all of that stuff, but dont use pictures. This crazy ass group of radicals came to my town this summer, and they brought their kids and everything, and had a BUS with 20 foot pictures of aborted fetuses and little kids would see them. worse than that, they got this lady in the group to call my old school and say they were renting the gym for 3 days, but they didnt say that they would be parking a bus in the lot, she didnt give the name of the organization while renting either (the name by the way is missionaries to the preborn). so i went down there to try and start shit, and i saw a mom and her kid and i she asked if i was part of the group, and im like no, and i think its sick that you let your kid see those pictures. my mom called the lady that rented out the building to bitch at her cause it made the school look so bad. anyways, if you ever see a bus with huge pictures, and it says missionaries to the preborn, flip them the bird for me.
 
Forgot about a couple of things, that group was started by a nutcase who stole a stilborn baby from a hospital, and said it was an abortion, and carried it in a tupperware container. autopsy proved that it was not an abortion. so my mom gets really pissed, because they are sleeping in my old schools gym, and we are in the car to go get food, and they are all sleeping, and the door is open, so she flashes her brights because the door is right into the gym and rides he horn. Then my friend and I got an airhorn, not the little kind, a boating airhorn, big ass mofo, and at midnight we go into the gym and ride it for 10 seconds. if theese crazy radicals ever come to your town, please keep in mind that number one, they are not a representation of catholics.
 
how can you give a fuck about abortion when theres iraq.... i mean its murder... but come on church.. how bout all those "crusiades" HEY LETS GO KILL JEW BABIES... shut the fuck up church/.
 
Not that it is right but it is a private school and they even went as far as niotifiing parents, so they could do that. pretty disgusting yes but fully within what the school is allowed to do. as far as showing those pictures in public on the side of the street, that is disturbing and wrong, hell if it was a picture of a woman breast feeding or a soldier getting blown up would that be ok, no.

And that is exactly why they do it. It's easy to make people believe that abortion is ruthless murder. Apparently God thinks women shouldn't have the right to make their own choices. Anyways, this reminds me of a bumper sticker I've seen a few times that said "Don't pray in my school and I won't think in your church."
 
yeah im thinking its fake because why would an abortion doctor put a dime next to a fetus he aborted and take a picture, in thinking fake. Pro life people have been doing it for a while, the guy who made missionaries to the preborn carried a miscarrage in a tupperware container and said it was an abortion, it was confiscated, and autopsy showed he was lying
 
and dude think next time, what if some kids little brother and sister saw that pic while they were on NS, it would scare the kid for life, and what about everyone else who doesnt like surprise fetus pics? if you ask me it is much more inapropriate than a full breast shot, which isnt allowed on the site. radical dumbass
 
most of them arent like that at all, like i said, dont let it be a representation of catholics or catholic schools
 
well, yea.

i went to a non-denominational christian school but they did shit like that.

it's not just catholics, even though they are pretty strict.
 
if they ever did it at my highschool half the school would get up and leave, and most of the hardcore groups arent in the catholic church because they say its not strict enough. I know im retarted for not knowing but what does non donominational mean?
 
i'm not gonna say i'm pro life or pro choice, because either way i'll get chewed out.

but i do agree that it's absolutely ridiculous to give children only one side of the story. i think it would have made more sence if the school had an assembly about "safe sex" and what not so you can avoid having to have an abortion in the first place.

then again, it is a christian school, so i'm guessing they woudln't be promoting ANY kind of sex even if it is protected?

abortion is a really personal choice that the person who's pregnant needs to make.. no one needs to have their mind made up for them. accidents happen, condoms break.

i am not a catholic, presbyterian, baptist, lutheran, methodist, etc.

i just believe in God, worship him and all that jazz.

or you could say - - i don't go to church.
 
first off, if theyre going to a priovate catholic school, they are anti-aboration, and second, Fuck aboration...dumbass
