i have the older marker griffons the ones with the flat white toe plate...you can slide the toe forward and back aswell as the back binding......whats the difference between mine and the new ones with the black toe piece end.....how much have they changed since mine becuz i was wondering if i should get new ones

+K for legit answers

btw i have my ar7 mounted at -2.5 so when i ride park i slide them up to center and when i ski in the mountains i move them back to -5 /i dont think they shouldve changed that

i only ski in the mountains during springbreak cuz i ski on a hill so theres pretty much only park so i slide up when i ride at my local hill and when i go to like B.C and im not riding park i slie them -5

I think he means he has schizo's? If they are working fine there isn't much point getting new ones. They have changed the schizo system a bit for this year, it's up to you if you wanna drop the cash on new ones, but I wouldn't.

those r them i just use a screwdriver to turn that big screw so they slide forward or back

my embeding or uploader never works

Binding can slide forward 3cm and back 3cm, giving it a range of 6cm from the mounting point. Durabilty is an issue though, and it's not really that great. + you cant really change them easilty on the fly becuase they fill up with snow and don't want to move. Still a sick idea however.

mine are exactly those and i can try to post a pic of them on my skis...so what else r different about them from now

Do they have the cable or not?

What skis are they on?

If they're the old ones with the cable and they're on Extremes, Kung Fujas or Hellbents with K2 Inserts then they have massive issues with not staying where they're put. The new ones have a detented (it goes click) adjuster screw on the front, the old ones it turns smoothly. They probably also have the sloppy toe issue, at a guess.

they dont have the cable they look exactly as they do in the pic link but only the back ones have the denter and they click the front ones turn smoothly

How on earth did you end up with Demo Griffons?

Meh. They're fine, really. Just don't be surprised if the toe shifts around on you.

it's really not hard to get demo bindings. tons of shops in whistler have their demo/rental skis set up with them.

the toes won't shift on you. i skied all winter with griffon demos and nothing happened

They're pretty much the best demo binding you'll find. There's just a good reason the Schizo's have detented adjustment screws on them now... being that under some conditions, the toe can slide on the rail. My friend went through 4 pairs that wouldn't stay in the same place for more than 2 laps before he got refunded... Demo/Schizo uses the same rail, 1+1=2
