It's going to be a fun summer.

I was going to buy the next step up Kona STUFF, but I found this on e-bay for $600 brand new, and couldn't pass it up. I plan on upgrading a few things when I get the money, but for now this will suit me just fine.
 
i've always wanted a good mountain bike, but between baseball, bodyboarding, sking and stuff, it's just getting too expensive. hope you have a good time
 
not much on equipment, but you have to pay for the leagues and tournaments you play in. better tournaments = more scouts = more money. bodyboarding really isn't a lot maybe a lil over 100 a season, but it adds up when u have no job.
 
No im not American, im New Englandian (there is a difference) and I was being sarcastic if you couldn't tell, I mountain bike too.
 
well for my purposes, like I said, it will be fine. I'm not doing any major downhill stuff, or any big drops. Just mostly casual street riding, with the ocasional trip to the DJ/skate park.

I know a lot of people who have ridden Kona bikes and they all have said the frames are bullet proof.

what in your opinion would be a bike that's not a "piece of junk"???
 
cove shocker or maybe a peeler.

kona frames.. bulletproof? definately not. i ahve seen about 10 broken between a few of my friends.

but hey if it works for you thats great, atleast its cheap.
 
man fuck spending 600 on a bike, do you know how much action (bj, hj, fj, vaginal, anal, ear) you could get? not just from your girlfriend but from your friends girlfriend, and her girlfriends. they dont even have to be friends either, hookers and prostitutes would, they dont even have to be deemed a prostitute it could be just some slut you find. chicks will do anything, and if their price is too high, go on to the next broad in line. im tellin you, a bikes a mistake, hookers and ho's wont be frontin when you stuntin the bills. and yes, i am an american pig
 
haha I already have a girlfriend who will take care of my needs, and all i have to do is buy dinner once in awehile.

I just bought this bike for something to toy around on. I mainly ride motocross in the summer, and got tired of my 20" bmx bike. So yeah $600 was cheap, but i'm not really a serious peddle pusher.

its a nice bike and all, and i love kona bikes, but for 600$ you could get a really nice full suspension thats used

but i have the hard rock spezialized comp and its sick

yah, hardtails is what i wanted too and i got the top end ironhorse hardtail for 560 new, sweet deal from broform.com
 
man i have a 05 stuff and it is a great bike, good for xc dj freeride urban and i little downhill
 
yeah dude. FS bikes are overrated. the only reason i would buy another one is strictly for DH racing. i ride a 7 inch mountain cycle rumbe, built it for under a grand, and it rips everything to shreds. youll have fun with that bike. but you have to get red of that fork. im serious. the DJs or whatever that has are HORRIBLE. really heavy, and shit dampening. they work for street/jumps, but if you ever want to ride a trail, forget it. a manitou gold label or Rock Shox Pike would be loads nicer
 
600 is cheap for a good bike. If you spend under 500, you're bike will not last (if you use it). I spent 525 on a trek 4500, dropped a 6 foot ledge and cracked the back triangle and broke the hanger off. Granted I didn't land it as smoothly as I should have, but I rode it off and it still broke.
