My New Computer!!!!

200 gig hard drive, XFX 8600gt xxx edition, 3 case fans, machspeed motherboard, sound blaster audiogy, intel ethernet 10/100/1000, 2 gigs of ram, Windows vista basic. I got all of this for $800, I am in the process of building it right now. So expect pictures and benchmarks.
 
good price....but you will hate vista

in about a week you will regret getting it soooo much, worst operating system ever
 
sick dude! im pretty pumped on my new "editing studio", lot of hard work went into it!
 
it sucks if you wanna play games and edit lots of footage, anythign that requires a huge amount of CPU usage, vista sucks for it. I turned basically everything in vista off, just so i can run stuff smoothly. other then that, its aight
 
Overclocking

My roommate just built a rediculous PC:

Q6600

2gb ram

8800 320mb geforce

its going to curbstomp shit
 
Vista is a bitch for anything other then office uses and basic internet use.

Its a memory hog, if you wanna run anything semi-demanding (editing, games, multitasking) you need to have a decent processor with atleast 2gb of ram. The 1gb min requirement is for BASIC use, minimum system stress.

You dont need Vista for anything really, XP works way better right now and doesnt bog down you system nearly as bad.
