My new car

i just bought it a couple days ago. it isnt new new obviously but its new to me.

95 trans am, 87k miles, t-tops, auto(unfortunately), lt1 v8 engine, some engine work already done but i got plenty more to do myself, and i got it for $2000 under blue book value.
 
for a big ass v8 like that automatic is fine,

its not like its a car you will be doing crazy downshifts into corners with

its a 0-60 car, streight highway driving. auto is probably better for it
 
put some flows on it to make that v8 roar. pony cars all the way baby.

a guy i know has a camaro and put a corvette z06 engine in it through an LS swap (for those of you who dont know, the z06 8-cylinder has 405 horsepower) and boy does that thing sound like a beauty with flowmasters
 
according to a buddy of a buddy who does work on f-bodys (firebirds and camaros) all the time he says with the chip you are better off with the auto. i dunno if i believe him but i do know driving a stick is just more fun. He does knwo his stuff though the work he does is so these others can go to the strip and drag the cars
 
oh it roars right now the previous owner put a single pipe 4 inch exhaust on the damn thing. now the tip isnt just 4 inch. i am talking coming right off the damn manifolds its 4 inch
 
tim first off let me say i respect you and your thoughts. now i will tell you some of mine.

as for the environment the human impact on global warming and the like is less than 1 percent in comparison to the data that has been shown in geologic time data. granted i think we should all do our part to cut down but i also wanna have my fun.

as for this petrol crisis, what exactly is the crisis the fact i will be paying an extreme amount of money at the pump. oil companies will not change their ways. its called capitalism and no matter how many of these half assed plans for no one to buy gas on a certain day or to boycott the major oil companies.

auto is better for a car like that cause the clutch burns out so dam easy with an engine that big.

and youre taking a risk with one of the pony cars, being the mustang, because theyre clutch is infamous for dying within the first 30,000 miles.
 
wow. you know, I can usually addmit I can atleast see where some conservative viewpoints are comming from. Glabal warming is not one of those.
 
so do you like fords or chebbys?

Im a mopar huy my self. Well the only thing good in recent time is the 5.9L 360.

1999+ rustangs are ok

Chebbys bring the SUCK! I can respect teh ZO6 for waht it is, but that is it.
