My new Beer Pong table...

Yeah.. that's right.. I just made my beer pong table. Take a look.

So it all started with just a blank white piece of melamine, the best material for making a table.. (It is a little heavy though).

Here's my roommate getting his ass kicked... the only decent shot of the table as just a blank board.

So I started planning and taping last night... I took a picture of most of the steps just for fun.

As you can see, I used CD's to make the perfect circles for the free-throw lines and the center line. Painters tape is the best material to make lines.

Obviously you can't work a project without a bit of Hookah and a Sunshine Wheat.

My neighbors came over for a Jam session while I worked. It was nice to have that. You can see i've finished taping an entire side...

Here's the final taped product ready to go to paint. I ran out of blue painters tape and had to resort to the red duct tape... oh well.

So here I hauled it into the garage and got to painting the black lines.

The next morning, I woke up and removed the tape and paper... fresh black lines.. mmm.

Note the Vail and Beaver Creek stencils I had made the night before and tested out a few times.

Here's the stencils dueling on the center line, I made them out of Thick magazine covers.

Well... I had to tape those down and add cover paper... then get the paint out. Here they are drying.

And here's the final product, Vail vs. Beaver Creek. If you've lived in the Valley, you'd know the logic behind why I chose these two resorts.

I'm using stools right now, until we can figure out an easy, and good looking, way to make some legs.

I'm also going to strip and redo the Vail logo.. It didn't turn out as well as I'd like it to be.

Very nice. I can't wait to get my own place and make a table.

Here is the one we use in the dorms.

no offense dude but that looks like way too much work just to spray paint a couple black lines and 2 logos on a table.. should throw some legs on it instead of being help up by stools.

You obviously didn't read the that stools are temporary until we can find something that looks good.

And it doesn't matter how much time it takes.. Vail doesn't open till Friday, so I have all the time in the world right now.

Pretty sure dipping ball in bleach would be very bad for you. And its a very clean bathroom, the dirtiest it get is when beer gets all on the floor.

Okay so every one who calls it "beer pong" is wrong and needds to be corrected.

Beer pong is played on a ping pong table with paddles. Object is to either

1) score a point as you would in beer pong and the other team drinks

2) There are glasses on al for conors of the table and if youhit the cup other deam drinks

3) If you get the ball into the cup person has to drink that cup

game is over when your 2 cups are gone

Beruit(spelt different at different places) is with cup and pinpong balls. Usally 10 cups either side and we all know how to play.

If more information is need please refer to the movie "BEERFEST" and watch the extra creditsand they will go further into detail then I did.

ill snap a pic of this one guys in my house. its legs are on hinges and velcrowed to it and has little chains on it holding the entire table above a couch onto the wall to maximize space. its covered with sweet blue and gold and a huge EX on it. its a really sick set up

ive had a few this is my closet door from frosh year that was trashed at the end of the year all graf-ed up

the table looks pretty long in the pictures. the one i have in my dorm is pretty damn short, 6 feet, but i thought 8 feet is pretty much a standard length. and about 3.5 feet high, maybe 4 wide for civil war. dunno exact dimensions aside from 8 long.

not necessarily true. i've heard it called beirut too. but pretty much everyone i know, and have met calls it beer pong. so calling it beer pong is not wrong.

yes beer fest is a good movie, but i don't think you can use it as a reference to tell hundreds of kids a drinking game shouldn't be called beer pong.

looks like a sick table btw.

and to pussyfooter, props for beer pong in the dorms, i remember that shit. you in chapel glen?

it doesn't really matter. its usually all about where you're from and how you grew up playing it. i can call it beer pong, you can call it beruit. by the end of the night, its who's still on the table, right?

we just take a kitchen table from one house to the party, and join them. It ends up being about 10 feet long and works out well

Beer Pong = everywhere else ? doubt it.

Go about 2 hours MORE NORTH WEST. to IDAHO and it's called BEIRUT ! call it beer pong and most likely you'll be asked to leave the house.

two triangles. each side 6 cups each. common now....

1st of all, idaho? come on. And 6 cups? That just makes your statement less valid. Pussies play with 6 cups.

if you would re-read. 6 cups each. total of 12 cups per side. and yah idaho. REP'n THE 208. so i also suggest you look at your competition ski wise out of idaho before you dis on them. Considering my home town has the the main SMITH OPTICS, SCOTT USA, and CARRERA office building in the nation.... looks like you got yer shit twisted.

I've heard of 6 cup for EACH PLAYER, you probably should had specified, and I wish to try it sometime. And idaho is lame other than smith optics stuff.

And you point? Skiing is a million times better, and salt lake city just as much partying than anywhere else seeing that it is a city. Seriously, its idaho. Just quit.

i live in the east coast. its beer pong where we play. and who the fuck plays 2 racks of 6 cups a side? that isn't beruit or beer pong. 10 cups a side, no less. 3 beers a side too, might i add.

does it honestly matter what it is called? i live in northern PA and no one calls it anything other than Beer Pong but if someone called it something else there is nothing wrong with that. We wouldnt make em leave like someone said

we just use a regular ping pong table but ive seen lots of kids with tables that everyone signs and whatnot.

for senior dress up day (seniors are allowed to dress up on halloween) me and a group of friends were the germans from beerfest. we played beirut in the cafeteria with das boots and steins and ice tea.

ok it was invented at Bucknell and I go there so...

1. Its called Beruit not Beer Pong here (but both are acceptable)

2. You Play with 10 cups (3 beers) for party play or 15 cups (5 beers) for league play

3. If you bounce you are a bitch, but it counts for 2 (can block)

4. you can never by any means attempt to remove a ball rolling around the rim (none of tis fingering or blowing shit for either men or women)

5. if you personally (this isnt a team thing) never make a cup before the other team sinks all of their cups you must do the predetermined naked run (there are never exceptions to this .if you dont run you leave.)

these are the only universal rules all others are determined by the house
