I do most of my skiing at Mammoth. I ski 30-35 days at Mammoth, and 5-10 at Mt. Baldy, so even though Baldy is closer, Mammoth is more significant to my skiing.
Mammoth has a ton of snow, we are having a great March after an awesome February. Even if it stops snowing now, the mountain should be open until Memorial Day, and possibly later. They could probably keep it open until July 4th if they wanted to.
Mt. Baldy has good coverage, and should be open until at least the middle of April.
I'm sorry to you guys whose hills are closing, that really sucks. Closing so early is a foreign concept in the Sierra.
