This is what my mother said when i asked her how she was going to vote on the massachusett decimalization of weed (by the way i was put into a private catholic school and put on cins just for smoking) She said with complete seriousness Its a gateway drug and people are gonna be hooked on herion and start carrying around guns and stealing from our house if it gets decimalized. Than she went on to say it will be the downfall of our civization. And the sad think is she used to blaze wen she was my age like everyone else.
 
Now shes saying if she didnt smoke she would of been smarter and could have been making 3 times what she is and been a doctor but since she did she had to become a nurse.....and shes competely serious sucks that whole generation had to be brainwashed by the goverment
 
its not total decriminalization, it just reduces it to a $100 fine i believe? It's definitely a big start. I personally don't smoke, but I wouldn't care if this passed. My dad is a cop in boston and says that it should go through, mostly cause he's sick of having to deal with minor drug arrests with college kids
 
blaming weed for the fact that she didn't get to be a doctor? that's like blaming a leaf for showing up late at work. i hate to say this guy, but your mom's an idiot.
 
yeah, besides not having to watch for the po, having cops do serious shit instead of minor busts will be the number two best part of decriminalization.

if that ever happens, yeah right.
 
The majority of cops i have spoken with agree and support decriminilization, but i live in Canada and realistically they only give a fuck if you are being ignorant about it anyway as it stands. Legalize it and tax it and regulate it, then it is safer the government makes more money and hopefully it will put a small dent into the pocketbooks of gangs. (part of my job is to be a liason with emergeny services so i talk to em a lot)

typical parent answer...dont even trip it will happen one of these days. government needs to sell it for cheap and tax the fuck out of it so that we can make some $$ to fix this deficit. hell, i know i would be contributing so much.
 
ha, well the funny thing is that his district is the worst in boston, pretty much if you hear about a murder in boston, its his area. But its not like it keeps them from doing their jobs, it just is like an inconvenience for them to have to do it to college kids
 
come on, you should be smarter than that. decriminalize, dont legalize. the last thing i want is marijuana to be the next cigarettes. it won't be that hard for the government to figure out a way to put shitty expensive taxes on it, make it just as illegal as it is now for cigarettes for minors, and make it addicting and low quality and lame as hell. marijuana is an awesome drug, no need for the government to intervene and shit up a perfectly good system that could be helped with full decriminalization.
 
i dont think so. i think that its so avaliable now that if people havent tried it, it's mainly because they dont want to, not because its illegal. My friend used to smoke a every now and then, and now he'lll usually turn down the offer because its not his thing. In my opinion, smoking weed and smoking cigerrettes float on the same boat.

I also think it'd help the crime rate a lot more because cops wouldnt have to waste their time on a stupid little pot arrest (but if its like a huge drug deal or something, then thats different)
 
wow, the connections she makes from weed to lack of success are complete foolishness. tell her to stop being such a propaganda driven fascist, lol. but in all seriousness, try to show her the proven facts, the real ones, not the government/drug company ones.
 
If "decimalization" means what I think, then Washington State has it legalized for medical use and my house isn't getting broken into and shit...
 
yeah i agree, i think that it should be decriminalized and people should be able to grow it and smoke it in public without getting fucked by the cops. Although who would sell it is the question? I think if they just made the medical thing a federal law and decriminalized it for medicinal use on a federal level that would be just as good if not better. Right now in california i can get my medicine without trouble at a cannabis dispensary and get really good medicine for cheaper than normal. If that became legal on the Federal level it would take care of DEA raids and it would be great for patients like me and anyone else who wants to become a patient.

 
Decriminalization of bud would be great for the overflowing of jails too becuase at least right now like 85-90 percent of arrests are marijuana related.
