My metal rail.

I just finished this thing. I welded it all myself with a $125 garage sale Arc Welder. I've never had any schooling other than the 5 minute tutorial my dad gave me. I payed $250 for all the metal (85 feet worth) and both rails are 24ft long.

Oh yeah, I'm 15 and I did it all myself except for the painting which 2 of my friends did. So you guys, stop with your PVC man up and get some metal, sure it'll cost a little more but it will last forever if you paint it. And don't even thing of having a rail welded by a shop, it'll cost you 4 times as much as it would to do it yourself and I can guarantee that you know someone with a welder.

For the kinks I just made the high part a flat rail and the low part a flat rail and then cut the middle piece to fit between them.

that is by far the sickest backyard shit FUCKING EVER. i would be amped if my local hill got those two jibs, let alone in ur backyard for u to play on everyday

GARAGE SALES, also, if you Princess Auto's wherever you live, you can get an Arc welder for $100. The best bet though would be to ask around and see if you know someone or your parents know someone who would lend you a welder.

I got the metals from a place called Industrial Metals in Red Deer. They are 3 Inches By 1 Inch and I'm not sure how thick, It's the thinnest they had.

how did you paint it? i just got a rail welded and im trying to pait it with spray paint. its not working to well because its not very even and it seems like its just going to scrape off very easy.

I used a paint brush and a can of tremclad rust paint. I put 1 coat on the top so that it will just scrape off whenever we get snow and 2 on everything else so it won't rust.

thats wicked dude. BUT JUST REMEBER, im sure you know this but to save you alot of time next season... before you put them away to store them make sure you put on a new coat of paint where ever is needed. if you dont its gonna rust over quite a bit and will need more work come next season when your eager to ride.

^ i wish my mom would let me drop off my roof. every time we try she flips shit. those are foucking sickkk rails tho

My neighbor has a welder but I need to find a place to get metal. Any online stores cheap enough to make it worthwhile?

I've searched for places all around. I think my best bet would be if it fell on me but I'll keep looking.
