My Local Shop

Um

I'm 16 years old

My parents paid for my season pass $340

I paid for

13 Snowboard setups this season [including bindings]

5 Skis Setups [including bindings]

Not all at once, im a gear whore though. Most ive had at a certain time was 5 snowboards 3 snowboard bindings, 2 skis 2 ski bindings

I pay for my own outerwear goggles helmet beanies jackets gloves pants boots

I do not travel out to summer camps or anything but im sure that isnt mandetory and it shows you dont have to be uh > 16 to get your own gear?

Hahahahahahahahaha holy shit! What the fuck? This sounds like club soccer. I wanna vommit. It's skiing. Chill the fuck out about it.

At any major resort, the cheapest that you will find a room is probably $100/night. After 10 days of skiing, you're already over 1000.

on the contrary, right now is a pretty good time to start a business. places are hurting for new businesses and people to rent out space and when you open a business you never really make any money no matter what economy for the first few years

so if you ski on the alberta halfpipe team its 4500 just for registration! and 8000 just for a year at National sport school, and thats not even half the costs so shut the fuck up

you don't need 2 season passes. Here's a better budget breakdown for you:
300- alpine meadows season pass, if you buy early enough400- skis and bindings. this is 800 split over two years, seeing as you don't need new gear each year.500- good boots, bought at end of season. you don't need new boots for 5 years. so really, only 100 per season.75- good enough pants. also, you don't need new ones each year, so that's 150 split among two years.100- jacket, bought cheap. you can find deals, and you can call this a two year split if you want.90- helmet. you don't need a new one every year, or every three years. unless your head grows exponentially90- goggles. also don't need new ones each year. get over yourself, trendwhore.80- gloves. you don't need new ones each year. if they break, get some duct tape.
this totals out to $1635 per season, if you buy new boots each year. I'm not counting gas, that's something completely unrelated, and it depends on where you ski. Hotels are for softies. Sleep in your car, or poach the base lodge. It has been done by others, it can be done by you. Or, considering you probably travel with the rentals, then you shouldn't have to worry about lodging. Don't pay to be on some fucking expensive team, just ski with some buddies. you'll have more fun, porgress more, and you won't be broke.
It sounds harsh, but your budget is much higher than it needs to be. I'm not bashing you for it (actually I guess I am, but don't be offended) It is nice to be able to afford all of that, but you won't die without a ski valet, either.

I dont know if someone said this already but, why don't you reuse equipment? Thats what i do, as long as you respect the gear and take care of it your good to go.

so dont join the halfpipe team go hike with your homies assuming you have some and talk to people who know what there doing most people are kind enough to help you out unless there super rich and concerned primarly on getting a sponsorship and cash

i hope you have fun with the other spoiled fucks on your team skiing halfpipe and making fun of poor people who work for their shit and complaining about not getting spanced by your local shop.

however, i like to think that i´ll have more fun on my 3 year old skis shredding with my buds. oh, and while your bitching about all this, i´m trying to find a way to pay for $350 season pass to a mountain next year.

oh, and i don´t have a whole lot of respect for people who refer to skiing as ¨training.¨ except maybe if they´re pro, or they race.

I dont post on here much but this realy pissed me off

im 16 live in england and worked 45 hours a week last year to pay for my skiing this year

and i only got 10 days for the amount i saved, poeple like this are a digrace and expect everyhting to be put on a plate for them. i would do anything to ski all winter and this kid just thinks he has the right to because his parents have a bit of money. well i think he doesnt deserve a sponsor for his childish comments on how he would turn it down and for being so stuck up.

fuckin eh are some of u kids spoiled...and still act like you got it rough...
to make me understand better...post ur ages along with ur post cause this thread is gettin rediculous.

damn go find deals on your stuff.

instead of going to your shop and buying the newsest pair of skis for msrp go online and find deals. youll save soo much money. get a job!. dont be on the alberta halfpipe team then if it costs that much fi your that good then you dont need the team.

haha those costs are completly ridiculous and so is your attitude. I love how you're trying to put it off as a "joke" becasue you didnt get the response you expected.

I'm 16 and this was my first season skiing ever. Even if it was my last season, everything came out of my pocket and i spent around 2k-2.5k and because of that, it made me love skiing even more knowing that my parents didnt help me with anything, cept for the drives there and back.

get a job and stop your fucking whining you spoiled little bitch! $0 yearly income? i really want to punch you in the face right now!

by the way, i know what shop you're talking about and i by chance know the owners who happen to be really nice people. i wonder how they'd feel about your pissing and moaning.
