This breaks my heart. I've been following his story for a little while now.

This, along with all of the loss in my area due to the tornadoes, has made for one emotional day. Make sure your loved ones know how much they mean to you and live your life to the fullest everyday. Clichè, I know. Forgive me, but a fairly effective way to get a point across I feel.

"I want to be remembered as the kid who went down fighting and didn't really lose."

What a great line!

Super cool story, thanks for sharing man!

such a touching story. I wish i could've gotten a chance to meet him, he seems like such an awesome kid

I know his best friend, it's so crazy and amazing that his story has reached so many people!!

carpe diem is just a more classy way of saying yolo.

but vibes to friends and family for this trooper

wow.

"you can either sit in your basement and wait, or you can get out there and do some crazy stuff."

I think I might live my life off this phrase now.

Sorry for the double post, but I just finished watching it. Most inspirational thing i've ever seen I think. That man, is a true legend.

I really enjoyed the video. Although it seemed like maybe Nissan was astro-turfing this a little bit. I don't have a problem with them sponsoring the video if they did or giving him the car, I just think maybe it should have been more forthright about if that were the case.

Also, I wonder how many people like Zach there are out there who don't get quite the exposure that he did. Not that he isn't deserving of it, he seems amazing and was really inspirational, but how many other people are in his same situation and equally amazing and don't get the benefit of documentary made about them. I feel like we need to do a better job identifying and recognizing those people so they receive the same due sympathy.
