here's somethin ive been thinkin about all summer and i think im ready to build. figured id share the wealth cuz it seems like a fairly simple, easy design. here's my thought on what u need and how to build it. feel free to coment!

materials:

-2 ladders ( im goin to use 6 foot)

-4 supports (2x4)

-1 top deck (3/4 ply or particle board)

-1 diagnol deck (2 pieces of 3/4, maybe(not pictured) 2x4 braces underneath for added support)

-PVC(not sure how much(roughly something small))

any questions on my design please ask if its not clear enough for u

also forgot to mention i was lookin for somethin highly mobile, so i would use some kind of gate hinge between the top deck and diagnol deck, somethin detachable. and the ladders will probably just be stuck together with the top deck.

so here's the almost finished project:

any questions let me now. ill get a total cost up soon as i figure out some small details, then ill give u a relist of parts used.

if ur on a tight budget get ur homies to whip up some cash with ya. garunteed cost is under $200. so get ur pals together so u can all have fun!

ONe thing is once you try it, the lateral force the prject will feel as the skier accelerates away will be fairly large, and I was wondering how stabile the whole apparatus is in respect to force foward and bac applied to the ramp face.

Also, HOw is the ramp face attached to the top of the inrun, because if it were on like a horse carriage bolt system it would be even more portable.

its pretty sturdy. thats why i went with a 2 ladder design instead of 1... plenty wide from all aspects.

i built some sturdy hinges at work that r easily detachable. when i get them on ill take another pic of it.

Nah dude we both stood on top of it. As long as the surface is relatively flat or if we level it with some shims it is super sturdy.

that is sick and that would be a great urban drop in. You could fold the ladders up and put them in your car and set it up when you get there. great idea.

Replace sketchy with fucking scary. So far only one person has fallen off though and that was a snowboarder.

its perfect or if not steep enough. u just put snow at the end of it and ur good. havent got enough speed for the rail were tryin to do with it, but it sure beats towin in.

thanks alot. i just dreamed this idea up one day and decided to draw, get some opinions, then made it. its sick for sure.
