I have a 60 gig ipod and its legitimately full to the brim. No movies, pictures, just songs. I keep getting new music and having to delete stuff off so i can put the new stuff on. This blows, i need a bigger ipod, how the hell do you fill a 60 gigger?

haha now the question should be "how much of that is legal music"?

i have about 20gigs of music, what can i say, my friends music just keeps popping up on my hard drive.

solution. buy an 80 gig zune? i think they are 80, if im wrong someone correct me.

damn dude, how many songs is that? I have 4500 songs and it's.. 20gb maybs? Might be more.. or less haha.

ive got about 55.9 gigs, 9000 songs, 203 days worth of music

i still have a warranty on my ipod till december, i think i might fry it soon and try and get a 160 or somthing

wow! such a big difference in song amount versus gigs from yours to mine. but you said you had a lot of concerts which would probably explain it, because most of my songs are just one track.

does anybody know how much apple would charge me for a new battery if i sent mine back? i got a 80 gig and it seriously blows

buy it on ebay for like 20 bucks and you install it yourself...or else its around 80-90$ i guess.

And for the threadstarter, just get the 160, or compress your songs (but dont, just get the 160)
or you could just NOT put them all on your ipod...like youre gonna listen to them all in one shot anyways..

you could listen to all of your ipods songs twice and itd be a year....crazy i have only 10 days

60 aint that much man. i got buddies with 1TB worth of music. personally im sittin around 120 gigs of music. its one of those things that add up really fast.

1TB???? have you seen it? that is really hard to believe that is 1000 GB of just music. if that is somehow true then it's retarded there is no point to having that much music you will NEVER listen to it all. that is a few years of straight music

yes i have seen it and it is redic! hes a hiphop artist and hes got shit from all over. i hook up my external to his comp to get my music.

2 TB? If your music teacher was ever caught by the RIAA the fines would be in the billions, maybe trillions of dollars haha. Because there's no way someone can have that much music legally.

At some point its just useless...
Personnally, i make sure i listen at least once to every one of my songs, so i can delete them if i dont like them...using this method im sitting at 5k right now...not a lot compared to you all, but i actually listened to them all1

I think I have about 9500 on mine. if you have any hour long songs, or songs longer than 20 minutes, take those off. haha. seriously when are you going to listen to those?

or, get the new 160 GB ipod! isn't it under $400 or something like that? that's cheaper than the earlier models and they have more than twice the space.

holllly shit. ! thatss so crazyyy. i have a 30 gig and 2,000 songs and its like not even half full ++ i have some vids and pics too! woow. frying it to get a bigger one sounds like a good idea i suposeee

he probably doesnt even listen to it. he just gets albums for the sake of growing his collection. im guessing its on a server where people on like limewire and torrents can get to it?

That is where you are wrong. I have been collecting my stash since seventh grade! With my Napster collection. I swear to you. So I have been building my very same collection ever since over the years. Now I am graduating from college in may. Think about it. Yes I build massive stashes, I download a lot at a time but I always listen selections from my music. This is how I find all my excellent music. Then you can widdle the stash down. Plus you also have to consider that I have a lot of full concert recordings in FLAC (lossless files) so each show is about a gig. I have a lot of music but the few surprises I find are worth it all.

wow doesn't it get to be too much at some point? i mean even if he has somehow listened to every song once he's not going to listen to most of them ever again. wouldn't it be easier just to get rid of some and have the space for something else?

Yeah, I've nearly filled my 80gb iPod video. What really pissed me off is that I bought it for like $350 last August. And guess what, 4 weeks later Apple announce the new iPod classics - and the 160gb is the same price. Fuck this world man.

do you fell accomplioshed? i bet you only listen to about 10- 20 of those songs. but that was a well story hansel. and do you see that huge care cloud out there?

i hate having to take off music

the whole reason i have a "big" ipod is so i can listen to any music that i have, at any time, without having to go to my computer

My 30 gig has been full for a long time and i actually listen to all the music on it. I have to keep deleting shit that i dont want to delete to make space, it sucks.
