k so my ipod is connected to my computer. all of a sudden, it says that the sync is complete and it erased all my music on my ipod. its still on my computer. but now, every time i try to sync it back onto my ipod, it just freezes. i restored it to factory settings and everything. and this ipod is newish so it would be cool if i could get some help figurein this out.... mad karma for helpin
 
try undoing auto sync and just dragging all your songs by hand, a pain in the ass but it might not get fucked up that way
 
yeah it would help if you said which model it is. do you have a certain playlist that it syncs from? if so, uncheck the box, then as the guy above me said, drag and drop like 2 files, to see if it works.... if it does, make a new playlist with all your songs, and check the box that says "take from plalist x" or something like that.... itunes pissed me off so much i bought myself a zune.
 
my old computer would dump all of my stuff when it would connect to itunes and then i would reconnect and they'd be back on. It was strange. WIth my new computer and ipod it will drop podcasts
 
toggle the hold switch twice, then hold menu and select for 10 seconds.

it will reset everything on the ipod. always fixes any problems with my ipod mini
 
try checking "manually manage data" or whatever, then create a playlist of all your music and drag it over

that should put everything on it correctly, if not call apple and be like "bitch this shit sucks gimme an itouch"
