My idiot mountain.

I hate my mountain.

everything about it is sub par. 900 foot vertical. 10 or 11 runs. terrible park. it's in Pennsylvania( need i say more)

even the employees are sub par. the park and pipe crew is alright, but "whitetail" only owns, at most, 10 rails/features. and all of them are set up. except one. a siick flat box that a GROOMER RAN INTO.

how the freak does a snowcat, that grooms the same 10 runs every night, hit a park feature that has been in the same place for 2 months?

i can't wrap my head around it.

certainly all groomers aren't this stupid?

i guess what i am trying to say is; that everyone who skis a solid hill, be thankful for the little things.

like groomers that actually know how to do their job. or maybe be thankful that you didn't just receive an inch of freezing rain, that turns the entire hill into an ice cube.

whatever.

/rant.

liberty, son. whitetail is such trash. they have a shitty ass park in comparison to libs, and i see no reason to ski a mid atlantic resort just because its bigger or something. Libs has a dank park right now for sure, go there from now on

that was an extremely confusing read.

sparknotes: that was an extremely confusing read.

My hill is similar. We have maybe 8 boxes/rails and they just set them in the snow on a flat trail and put a jump up to them. Then you get bomb holes from all the gapers 50-50 the boxes and then I go up and don't spin all the way around off it and hurt a disc in my back. My hills crappy park is why i am not skiing this weekend.

i might be there saturday

ill be wearing either a bright green striped armada hoodie or a red jacket and i rock k2 fujatives with no poles

if you see me hit me up

Roundtop has been stepping up their game with the best pipe and jumps that they have had in years, if i were you i would check it, props to all park and pipe working this year getting it done.

last season at my home mtn some dude destroyed 2 of the funnest jibs in the mini park by running over them with the groomer. unbelievably frustrating

ill be there on saturday, starting at like four. dark green pants, black hoodie, tms with the green bases(word)

and poles.

always poles.

hoping to be at lib this wednesday.... roundtop next week.

holler if you see me.

the cat drivers at my hill hit features like 3 times a season. they just killed the sickest fdf/dfd, and last year they got rid of a sweet flatbar. whatever.

I probably shouldn't complain but. Sierra Summit's park is real shit. We have around forty rails and boxes and most of them are at the bottom of the mountain laying on top of each other just chilling. We had some really sick features early on in the season and now the park manager ruined it. They had a sweet down rail, down box, that they fucked up. They had a nice cannon butter box that was perfect, then they took it out. The wallrides are just wood without HDPE on top of them so it's no fun. The jumps have no landing and the biggest jump is maybe a 10 foot table. Fuck Sierra Summit's new park manager. Last year, Elliot, our old park manager, built jumps with long landings and the right steepness. Fuck us for having less snow than we do in April.

wow. honestly, this makes me feel like i've taken northstar's 2900 acres and 2000 vertical feet for granted. im sorry to hear that about your hill

Someone in the CA regional forum said that a cat ran into the big pink wall at Mammoth. And a friend told me it wasn't there any more or there was a new one or something so it makes sense.

fucking this.

I was up there on Saturday for the first time, and I had the intention of buying the half season pass so I could get up there on the weekends and hit a good park (so i had heard about other years) but I was incredibly disappointed.

The jumps were the worst I've ever hit (and I was born and raised in Minnesota), some of the rails were fun, but most were poorly laid out so it was hard to get a good line. And the park was small. I was expecting so much more from a mountain owned by the people who own Bear.

Idk, I guess I can't blame them too much, the weather has been terrible for them, I have never seen so little snow in January.

you havnt been to my hill.our cat driver did the same to our C box and we only have 3 runs, but a nomal mountain would call it one

you definitely have.

northstar is one of my favorite resorts. ever. i would KILL to ski there for a season.

i might be out there next week.

i would take those six any day over our shit. atleast those have landings. ours have no kickers to them and the landings are bomb holes ;(

Libertys weekday groomer has knocked out 4 of our rails so far this year :( Its saddening to come in on the weekend and find out that he broke something, wash rinse repeat..

Luckily our park guys do a good job of getting stuff fixed and ready to go if its been broken, well.. except for the wall. I'm waiting till I can get some help to get it pulled one night this week.

Truth is, being a groomer, its a lot harder to groom rails than what you would think. You are in a machine that is precise in feet, and most good park groomers need to be precise in inches. Sooner or later, someone is going to hit a rail. It happens... except to me ;)

Aaron, I'm planning on gettting up there to groom the pit crew civil war sometime this week if Whitetail's ego doesn't get in the way. The setup Nate has brewing should be sick

don't knock on the cat drivers, like ^ said, it's harder than you think. everyone makes mistakes. be happy they still do it.

I am not trying to claim or anything, but Roundtop stepped up the game. Recruit is loaded with features and bunker hill just got rebuilt today open for tomorrow with a dfd box flat rail a roller box and a c box with 2 different jumps. Along with incubator which will slowly be getting rebuilt

that's kind of what i thought.

but i am kinda pissed that, from what i was lead to believe by one park worker, there won't be any attempt to fix the feature, or find another to replace it.

and to matt, i will definitely check roundtop out as soon as i get a chance. i may never go to whitetail again.

Yea I agree, from my experience Roundtop definetly has the best pipe of the three (Whitetail, Liberty, Roundtop) and a pretty nice park setup as well

so they fixed the box

but put it in a retarded combo

i will be at big boulder from sunday to wednesday next week. i am looking forward to a real park

Since last year at gore the park groomer managed to hit a c box once, a down rail 4 times breaking it each time completly snapping it , a wallride once trampled on countless nicely shaped jumps, a 8 foot flat rail countless times. It wouldnt be so bad if this guy wasnt the full time park specific groomer who has been to cutters camp at hood.

ya my mountian sucks to im at titus mountin new york its close to whiteface but we have 27 trails and our park is sooooo bad we have 45 foot jump with about a 15 foot landind so if ur not perfect ur done and we have 4 outher jumps aqbout 5 to 10 feet each about 7 feet apart o and we have a ton of 6 year olds running over every jump our rails r trash there homemade in the shop at the mountian and no one has a dam clue how to build a thing at my mountain butsome how we have a kid that can do backfilps and like 10s
