My homemade rail

This is the first rail ive built. Got a couple tips from Misty7, thanks bro. The whole rail is 16.5' long, but singe it has a double kink, the total length of the top of the rail is almost 18'. Just wanted to see what you guys think.

1 prob might be that you have to go slow to grind such a small, steep downslope, but it wouldn't leave you with enough speed to finish off the rail

 
u can hit it in the other dirction with speed and go up the steap part

That's the way it was initially built to be used but we changed plans along the way. Maybe we have to change it back, just have to elevate the pvc the other way.

 
Whats the sliding surface?

put it downhill, so the uphill/downhill part is actually flat.. that would be sick

that's badass I am doing the same thing but bend instead of kink 2x4 structure with flexable siding for top piece and then teflon plastic strip (3 in wide) on top same idea that way you can flip it around and exit off the top end (mini coaster) or have it like that aspen rail sort of and start up top nice work

your gonna clear right over that kink, i made a little dub kink and yea, mine is more mellow then yours and you pretty much float over the kink

if u gap the down part it would look pretty tight, i bet it would be hard as hell tho

Thanks for all the comments everyone. After reading all this, ive been doing a lot of thinking bout partially rippig it up and making the kink less steep and longer. It will be a lot of work, but i think it will be worth it in the end. I might also build a 15-17 foot flat to practice spinning off and on.

 
I was gunna do a flat-down, but that looks cooler, i might have to get 1 more section built.

keep itcause it will ten time sicker when you land that. plus you one it if you cant land that in a year then change it.
