My hill

I live in Ohio, skiing here sux, I ski @ mad river mt. most of the time, its like a mound. The park consisted of about 4 jumps 2 spines and 2 tiny rails. The biggest hit was probably about 8 ft tabletop @ the end of the year, the worst part about mad river is the snowboarders, I have the followin reasons 2 hate snoboarders.

1. They snowplow on the front transition of the jumps and dont make it over them causin my takeoffs 2 super ruff.

2. there r no good snowboarders @ mad river, they r scared of the jumps, they just sit @ the top of the launch and look @ it til they r 2 scared and dont hit it, while im standin in line behind 4-5 of them.

3.They sux at gettin of the chair that it stops about 5-6 times every time up.

So next time u think about how bad yur hill is, just think about me.

Ok, first off where are all these ohio skiers poping out of? I've been on here for the whole season and just in teh last 2 weeks like 3 other skiers from ohio come up, haha.

But anyway, I ski at Boston Mills I have been to Mad River Mtn. take what you have and add 2 times as many people and make it smaller...thats boston mills. You guys have good rails too (so I've heard, didn't have nay when I went last year). But yeah, don't go looking for sympathy dude, have fun with what you have.

Yeah my home Hill in Wisconsin, Grand Geneva is pretty much the smae thing! Thats why im upgrading to better hills next year, even though I will have to drive at least 2 hours!

dude, whining does no good. 4 jumps? wow that is a lot, but im not gunna start talking bout how small my hill is. Just go ski and have fun.

yeah your hill does suck....usually i think of things to make someone feel better about something...but theres not looking up on that hill son..

ya, me and drews place is small but its still alot of fun. probly most people on this site have a small local hill they go to.

ya i've been to mad river. the snowboarders are pretty gay there. the only thing i really like there is that there are alot of newschoolers that ski there. i ski at paoli in indiana and there are about 3 newschoolers there including me but the snowboarders there are cool.

 
STOP COMPLAINING

jeez you have what you have to ski on, do the best you can with it, maby all the time you spend complaining about it you could have used sending emails and messages to the ski area with ideas and thoughts on how they could improve.

or u could just volanteer as a digger(or get paided, what ever floats your boat) that way u could make the park how ever you want, or atleast make it better...

 
yah man. i'm not a complainer like what i sound like. i just get jealous of you guys. i live 4 minutes away from my hill. not many poeple can say that. i pay 250 dollars for a season pass and ski almost every day they are open. i live and eat there all winter. it is my home and everyone there knows me. its so much more of a home-like feeling than any big place i bet. like most people no each other. and if you are good, your good and people know it. its cool to ski at a place so small.....just, i sometimes wish i could ski on a real mountain with real skiers and real snow.

that's what most snowboarders are like...accept for the ones who actually snowboard becuase they want to...everyone else does it to be cool....and it doesnt help much

 
how about you convince your dad to be the mountain manager like DREW's dad and then you get to build jumps however you want and order the owners son to buy a rainbow rail. haha.

yea really stop complaining no one wants to hear it like telejibber said. I skied in Indiana the last 4 years at Perfect North which has one jump and up until this year no rails and we have snowboarders now too so dont complain just move like i am next year. Haha ill be skiing alta everyday so just leave i guess

 
Ya i c but i live 1 1/2 hours from it and my pop doesnt ski much, so i guess ill have 2 buy the mt. myself, make the whole thing a park and put sum turbo chairs in. then it would be a real hill. Out

 
i have absouluteley no pity for u. im not even goin into our terrain park in MN. im with tele-jibber. put up and work till you are really good. than move somewhere cool! thats my plan.

haha teethi i wouldnt bitch about your terrain park in minnesota i can almost gaurantee its better then anything in ohio or indiana, but its kind of funny everyones arguing over who has teh worst park

 
ahh i hate it when you are wanting to go hit a jump and the snowboarders just sit there staring at the jump.... like they are amazed by how it doent get up and run away. i don't understand! why are they staying, and what at?~?!

 
Im happy as long as there is a hill and some snow (or ice)! Like I always say: A bad day of skiing is better than a good day of anything else!

i go up to mammoth every weekend, and i have a season pass, a nice camera, and friends that have to drive 6 hours as well but they still go, i get mad footy and its worth it ( the drive )

but still- 'my park is worse than your park' haha

but seriously, be lucky you guys have parks....dont take it for granted

its funny how hard my hill makes them look good, but i support them so much

. but like their website and stuff says longest pipe and tube run in ohio...and the 'Xtreme park'doesn't exist but on their site. for a skate park-money raising comp we got permission to build a table (only time we've ever had one) and on it we spray painted 'xtreme park ' haha. its a joke-get it... ::brody trails off::

Ya the thing about skiiers that stare @ the jump, they will let other people go, but snowboarders just sit down and stare, if u try 2 go while they r in the middle of their stare they go postal on u
