you guys seriously need to learn how to do an interview if she got shit that wrong. A few key things for interviewing. Know what your going to say, and then only say that. Dont go off on tangents. Dont just let them ask questions, ask them some questions just to Make sure they understand what your saying Dont let them boss you around into doing or saying things that they want you to say or do.

pussyfooter i've seen you bash emo so many times and you had no clue what it was. I hate simple plan too, did you honestly think every time someone said they liked emo they were talking about simple plan, good charlotte, etc?

The other problem with emo is there is good and bad emo, just like there's good and bad rock, but pretty much everyone believes its all the same. If I said rock music sucks because nickelback sucks, I'd be wrong.

There's good emo bands and bad emo bands and a lot of bands that are caught somewhere between hardcore, emocore, and emo.

Anyone who writes off a whole genre of music with out giving a diverse selection of that genre a listen is only limiting themself.

I personally don't like country or r&b, I know there are some songs and groups out there I would like if I spent the time listening though. That's why I don't bash on people who listen to that type of music. The same goes for you guys who bash emo or whatever else. If you heard enough, there'd be some you liked.

i really don't like the fact that emo has adopted this femine look to it; people judge emo on this look either than the actual music. i listen to emo, yet i don't dress like a girl, therefore half of the new people i meet fail to believe that i like emo music.

just a story to prove that: one day i was biking in the skate park. i ditched class that day so there was only me and a skateboarder there roughly the same age as me (16). this kid was dressed in tight girls jeans, had one of those black band sweaters promoting bleed the dream, black shaggy hair and those plug earring things. so we start hanging out and talking and he gets on to the subject of music and what i like. i told him that along with ska and punk rock that i liked emo. he thought i was making fun of him or whatever because i wasn't dressed like he was (i had a flannel shirt and some pyjama pants cut off at the knees). so basically it took a heated 15 minute discussion until he believed me that i listen to emo.

thats actually a pretty cool story. saves the day is one of my favorite bands. i wonder if theyre emo. i mean i think of them more as rock, but maybe not. haha i like emo music. and indie rock. and skate music. and regge. and old punk. and some new punk. and melodic punk. and ska. and rap. and hip hop. and old school rap. and weird euro music. and kelly clarkston. and alot more that i fail to mention because im going out tonite. bye.

a lot of emo bands have cool original names, but im not a fan of the music. the stuff i listened to (i tried a lot of different bands) just doesnt sound good to me.
